Joseph Capoferri Obituary

CAPOFERRI, JOSEPH, 80 - of Red Bank, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2007 at Riverview Hospital in Red Bank. Mr. Capoferri was born in Elm and lived in Red Bank most of his life. He was a school teacher for Southern Regional High School for many years. Mr. Capoferri has a passion for gardening. He enjoyed spending time on the shores of Sandy Hook, and had a wonderful talent for writing poetry. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. He is predeceased by four brothers: Tony, Ray, Frank and Tally Capoferri. Surviving are two brothers: Stephen Capoferri of Elm and John Capoferri of Hammonton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 26th at 11a.m. at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank. I remember "Uncle Joe" from early in my childhood until my teenage years. He taught me to appreciate gardening, build a wicked vocabulary and love the Lord. For that, you remain in my prayers and memory forever.
