Josephine (Capabianco) Savino Obituary

Josephine (Capabianco) Savino, 92, affectionately known as "Gee" - of Ocean City and formerly of Vineland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 with her granddaughter and caregiver Nicole at her bedside. She was born March 19, 1931 in Vineland, NJ. She was retired from Feigenbaum Developers, where she worked as a bookkeeper for many years.

Josephine got her nickname "Gee" from her grandson Jared when he was learning to talk and the name stuck. She was the "glue" that made so many family outings and holidays so special. She was a good cook and baker, able to pick up a piece of dough to make a pie, twirl it in the air, and have it come out perfect. Her cookies weren't bad either. Her qualities were many, but it was what was on the inside that made her the best. Gee, please call us when you get "home".

She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Peter; parents, Anthony and Rose; sister Rosemarie; sister-in-law Eleanor, and by her brother-in-law Jim. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Susan Savino; daughter and son-in-law, JoAnne and Tony Bucca; granddaughters Nicole Kessler (Ron) and Kristen Giles; grandsons, Jared Savino and Jacob Savino; great-grandchildren, Michael Kessler, Madison Kessler, Peter Kessler, Ella Giles and Carli Giles; brothers Rocco Capabianco (Rosemarie) and Frank Capabianco; sister MaryAnn McCaffrey (James) and many nieces and nephews.

A church visitation will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 8:45am to 9:45am followed by a funeral mass at 10 am from Saint Padre Pio Parish - Church Of Our Lady Of Pompeii, 4680 Dante Avenue, Vineland. Entombment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland, NJ.

ARRANGEMENTS are under the supervision of Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East
Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ 08360.

I was very fond of Mrs. Savino. She was a special lady and a great Mom and Gee. I know that Mr. Savino has been waiting for her and I imagine them together in peace. She will be missed and remembered. My condolences to her entire family. xoxo
