Rosita Casumpang

Rosita Casumpang, lovingly known by most as "Lola", 95, of Atlantic City, N.J., passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on October 18, 2025. Rosita was born on December 5, 1929, in Anilao, Iloilo, Philippines. Rosita grew up in the Philippines where she later married her husband, Silvestre, and raised their four children. Rosita's passion in life was taking care of others, from her role as a stay-at-home mom to later moving to the United States in 1988 to care for her grandchildren. After moving to New Jersey, Rosita also provided numerous family friends with peace of mind as she lovingly cared for their children while they went to work. Rosita loved to feed people and could always be found in the kitchen smiling while she prepared traditional Filipino dishes. Rosita was selfless, generous, kind, and caring. She had a positive and lasting impact on all those who were lucky enough to spend time with her. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her children: Nepthali (Emma), Mike (Nina), Hazel, and Lemuel (Judith); her grandchildren: Cathy, Christina, Sharra, Brian, and Sabrina; and great-grandchildren: Cayla, Gemma, Giovanni, Nathaniel, and Dylan. Rosita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her siblings.

A viewing will be held on Friday, October 24th, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, located at 1707 New Road in Linwood, N.J., with a brief memorial service at 7 p.m. A second viewing will be held on Saturday, October 25, from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Michael's Church, located at 10 N. Mississippi Avenue in Atlantic City, N.J. Burial will follow at the Atlantic City Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family at ghwimberg.com.
