Sheldon Penn Obituary
March 26, 1929 - October 5, 2024
Sheldon Elliott Penn was born March 26, 1929, to Bertha Heilman Penn and Arthur Penn and was graduated with honors from Erasmus High School. He was also graduated from Brooklyn College with a degree in accounting and achieved an MBA from City College of New York.
In 1954, Sheldon married Elayne nee Soltz. After which he and Elayne moved to New Jersey then back to Long Island, NY. From there he moved to Wilmington, DE, where he became comptroller for Leon N. Weiner and Associates. Upon retirement he continued a successful private tax practice.
Sheldon will be laid to rest on October 8, 2024, 1 p.m., Shirat Hayam, 700 Swarthmore Ave, Ventnor, NJ 08406.
A Masonic Service will be held 15 minutes prior to religious services. Sheldon was a member of Masonic Lafayette Lodge #14 of Delaware.
Interment will be at Beth Kehillah Cemetery, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234.
He is survived by Elayne, his wife of 70 years; and his three daughters, Eva Lynne, Robin Deborah, and Cynthia Jonine. He will be greatly missed by so many.
Shiva will be observed at the family home in Wilmington, DE on Wednesday, October 9, and Thursday, October 10, from 2 to 5 p.m.
Charitable contributions may be made to Shirat Hayam or a charity of choice in memory of Sheldon E Penn.
