ALBERT J. TREMBLAY

Albert Joseph Tremblay passed away peacefully on December 23, 2016, at his home in North Dinwiddie, Virginia, at the age of 72. He was born in West Warwick, Rhode Island, and attended Deering High School.
Albert received his licensure as a nurse before joining the U.S. Army, where he served his country loyally for over 20 years. As a wartime veteran, he bravely served multiple tours in Vietnam and Iraq. He continued his passion for nursing during the remaining years of his life by caring for patients at Central State Hospital and Ivey House Group Homes.
He was a devoted servant of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and was a beloved brother in Christ to his church family at Charity Korean-American Baptist Church in Hopewell, VA. He was an avid golfer and played regularly with family and friends. He enjoyed travelling to see distant family and friends, taking many roads trips over his lifetime.
He is predeceased by his father, Joseph Hector Tremblay; mother, Agnes; a sister, Anita Lemois; a brother, Gerard Tremblay; and a sister, Janice Avery.
He is survived by his wife, Ok Sil Tremblay, and her children, David Mapes and Elizabeth Torres. He is also survived by his children, Joshua and Jennifer from West Warwick; a brother, Maurice of Temple Hills; a sister, Janet Walker of Milton, VT; a brother, Robert of Zanesville, OH; along with many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Chester, VA. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016, also at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Chester, VA.
