Alton Davenport Obituary

Alton L. Davenport, 77, of Prince George, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, in Southside Regional Medical Center.

He attended Crater View Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Dixie Container.

Survivors include his faithful companion, Hazel Y. Robertson of Prince George; daughters, Janet Camden and Cathy Hickman, both of Prince George; sons, Larry Davenport of Nashville, N.C., and Steven Davenport of Prince George; grandchildren, Shawn Castle and wife, Janet, Kimberly Camden, Samantha Davenport, Justin Davenport, Jennifer Davenport, Christopher Hickman, Amanda Alfaro; great-grandchildren, Jr. Valadez, Maliaki Camden, Harley Castle and Ronnie Castle.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, in the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road. Interment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, Va.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
