CARLOS D. GRAVES

Mr. Carlos D. Graves 41 of Richmond Va. formerly of Petersburg Va. departed this life December 21, 2020.

Carlos Graves was born to Bertha Massenburg(Purcell) and Kenneth McDaniel Sr. We want to recognize Bobby Banks for all the love and support in raising Carlos as well for many years.

Carlos was preceded in death by his father Kenneth McDaniel Sr., grandmother Ann Graves White, grandmother Mary McDaniel, grandmother Luvinia Winfield, grandfather Richard White Jr. and uncle Robert Graves.

Carlos leaves to carry his legacy his children Anaya Mason, VyShawn Graves, VyQuan Graves, D'mone' Graves, Carlos Graves Jr., Iyanni Reaves, Azionne Miller, Sierra Davis-Sims, and C'Yahna Sims.

Carlos also leaves to cherish his memories his very devoted siblings to include Antonio Graves(Brandi), Lakeisha Graves, Lawarna Howard(Maurice), Latoya Seymour(Greg), Kyiesha Winfield, Kenisha Winfield, Angel McDaniel, Kenneth McDaniel Jr.(Crystal), Kenda McDaniel, Joan Belfield(Davonte) and Jadakus Williams.

He leaves to also cherish his memories aunts and uncles Shirley Randolph(Donnell), Brenda Graves, Karl Graves, Amanda Graves, Percy Graves, Louise Gordon, Gloria-Jean Briggs(Thurman), Charles McDaniel, Robert Lee McDaniel(Connie), Wanda McDaniel, Rose King, James McDaniel(Niecy), and Tony McDaniel(Pamela).

Special thanks to his wife Nadia Graves and his special friend Nicole Manuel and son T-Boy. Special thank you to an aunt of Carlos-Doretha Fields(Warren Fields Sr.). Carlos was fortunate to have lots of people to help mold him and love him his entire life.

The family will be receiving friends at 3900 Autumn lane Richmond Va. 23234. There will be no public viewing. A home-going celebration will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at 2 p.m., on the grounds of the Joseph M Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, 530 S. Sycamore Street, Petersburg Va. Elder Tony McDaniel Eulogist. Interment will follow at The Thomas Family Cemetery, 19905 Matoaca Rd., S. Chesterfield Va., 23803. In lieu of flowers and cards, please make a memorial donation in honor of Carlos to his family.

In keeping with the guidelines set forth by the state of Virginia, all visitors must wear masks and socially distance themselves at all viewings and services.
