Charles G. Boco

Mr. Charles Gautimozin Boco, 62, of 930 Valley Drive, Petersburg, departed this life suddenly Monday morning, Oct. 21, 2013, at his residence. He was born in Haiti on Aug. 29, 1951.

As a young child, he grew up in Manhattan, N.Y. Upon completion of his educational requirements, he enlisted into the United States Army, where he served for 10 years, having his last tour in Germany. After his military career, he made his home in Petersburg. There he became employed with Rainbow Taxi Cab Company and eventually was the owner of his own taxi.

He was avid reader and a fan of the Syfy channel. He enjoyed the simple things of life, and enjoyed his family and friends. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him dearly.

He is survived by: his wife of 30 years, Carolyn Boco of Petersburg; his children, Charles Boco, Asishia Boco, both of New York, and Natasha Boco of Petersburg. He also survived by wonderful neighbors and caring friends whom have been dear and near to the Boco family, too numerous to name.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at the Johnson Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Herbert R. Holly II, pastor of the St. John Baptist Church, Stony Creek, officiating. Public viewing will be held on Friday at the chapel.
