DANIEL BLOWE Obituary
Danny was born to the late James Edward Blowe and "Apostle" Eva "Yvonne" Edmonds. He was a native of New Haven, CT, but attended the Petersburg Public School System. He was employed in the summer months from ages 16 to 18. He graduated from Petersburg High School Class of 1984. He than entered into the United States Navy on September 18, 1984, and Honorably Discharged after serving seven years.
Upon his discharge he was employed at Popular Springs, Central State Hospital and Southside Training Center and Central State Hospital Forensic Unit from 1996-2006. He was also employed at Fort Lee Security as Sergeant of Securities in 2007 until present. Danny was active sponsor Narcotics Anonymous (NA) for 16 years as well as a volunteer sponsor at Riverside Regional Jail to current.
Danny's Christian education began at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Petersburg at a very young age where he accepted Christ and was baptized. He served as a junior usher and remained an active member until his transition.
Left to cherish Danny's precious memory are: his four siblings, Dr. Apostle Pamella Vonn Banks of Manchester, VA, Dr. Chaplin James Gregory Banks (Brenda) of Prince George, VA, Ms. Joyce Annette Blowe (devoted) of Colonial Heights, VA, Jerome Fields of Los Angeles, CA, and Russell Blowe of Washington, DC; a very devoted niece, Jennifer Danielle Mason of Colonial Heights; devoted nephews, Solomon Keith Lee (Zakia) of North Chesterfield, VA, Kurtis LeOne Jones (Angela) of Fayetteville, NC, Jason LaMonte Jones (Locola) of Walthall, MD, and James JuJima Jones (Melodee) of North Chesterfield, VA; devoted friends, Danny Grady and Florinda Blocker. In addition to his siblings and devoted niece and nephews, he is also survived by uncle, Daniel Edmonds; aunts, Vivian Edmonds and very devoted aunt, Mable Edmonds; god-niece, Neosha Hall; a host of additional nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins, friends and his closes NA friends and family Greg Fuller, Marvin Taylor, Matthew Flowers, Patrick Stowell, Lester Sedgewick, Carolyn Page and Tracy Owens.
Services will be held 12:00 Noon, Thursday, August 2, 2018, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 418 Halifax Street, Petersburg, Va., the Rev. Dr. Robert A. Diggs, Sr., Pastor, eulogist. The interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
The family will assemble 11:00 a.m. the day of the service and receive friends at 525 Chestnut Avenue, Petersburg, VA.

Thank you for all the deep rooted, and that infectious laugh that you had. I will remember that about you the most. To the Blowe family Daniel was a very good friend of mines. We use to work together and had fun doing our work. To Danny Blowe's family, God makes no mistakes and when he feels your journey is over and you are in need of rest, he will send for you. I pray that you find peace in your heart knowing that Danny is in a better place where he feels no pain, he has no stress, he needs no medication, he don't have to work another day and will be in heaven with all good people.
