DARREN A. BRYANT

Darren Arnold Bryant, at the age of 50 was called to eternal rest, Friday, February 12, 2016, at Virginia Commonwealth University Hospital in Richmond, Va.

Darren was born July 1, 1965, in Brooklyn, N.Y. He is the son of Richard A. Bryant and the late Frances A. Bryant and brother to Shani N. Gerbier.

After graduating from Eramus Hall High School, he attended Kingsborough Community College and received his degree in Information Technology. He's the father of Darien E. Barnett with Jacqueline R. Barnett. In 2002 he relocated to Jarratt, Va. He was employed with Greensville County Public School Systems as a IT Technician for 14 years. Darren accepted Christ and became a member of Galilee Baptist Church in Stony Creek, Va.

There were many different facets to Darren, he was a lover of music and all things in technology. He has many friends; he could befriend anyone with his laid back demeanor. He had an inviting and nonjudgmental spirit, many felt they could talk to him about anything.

Darren also leaves to cherish his wonderful memories, his lovely fiancé, Lisa Dove and her sons, Aaron and Matthew; one niece, Zuri Gerbier of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one brother-in-law, Ralph Gerbier; one grand-aunt, Willie Dean Whaley of Conway, South Carolina; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Darren will be Saturday, February 20, 2016, 11 a.m. at Galilee Baptist Church, 12392 Lee Avenue, Stony Creek, Va., Rev Linwood James, pastor. Interment will follow at Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery, 12494 Kientz Road, Jarratt, Va.
