DIANE T. GHOLSON

Ms. Diane Tarver Gholson, 64, of 3122 Longstreet Drive Petersburg, VA, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2015, at MCV Medical Center. Diane was born on November 10, 1950. She graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School in New York, NY, and later earned a BA Degree in Liberal Arts from Herbert H. Lehman College. Diane was employed by DuPont for over 30 years where she later retired.

Diane is preceded in death by former husband, Joseph G. Gholson Jr.; her grandparents, Alma and Robert Wyatt Sr.; her mother, Bernice Wyatt; father, John Tarver; her brother, Norman Wyatt Sr.; three uncles. General Wyatt, Richard Wyatt, and Robert Wyatt Jr.; and two aunts, Elsie Wyatt and Dorothy "Dottie" Wyatt.

Left to cherish her memories is her son, Joseph G. Gholson III and daughter-in-law, Jarnice Gholson; one brother, James R. Wyatt Sr. (Bernice); six sisters-in-law, Joan Wyatt, Robin Jordan (Francis), Gail Gholson, Sharon Gholson, Claudette Gholson, Carolyn Demps (Ernest); three brothers-in-law, Wayne Gholson, Kenneth Gholson, and Keith Gholson; five aunts, Narvenia Jones (Larmon), Gertrude Morgan, Vivian Prosise, Gloria Wyatt, and Dorothy Wyatt; one uncle, Talmadge Wyatt; nine nieces; 19 nephews; a host of cousins and friends, among them devoted friends Tambra Ellis, Geraldine Nickens, Ava Yates, Lamont Cannon, Gloria Miller, and Cheryl Trotter.

A Celebration of life for Diane will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015, at 12 noon at the Tabernacle Family Life Center, 444 Halifax Street Petersburg, with Rev. Andrew Carey, officiating. The family will receive friends at 13566 Green Spire Court Chester, Virginia, and will assemble there at 11 a.m. on the day of the service.
