Doris Van Sciver Obituary
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mildred Stiles, her husband, Richard Van Sciver Sr., sister, Nancy Carson of Winterville, N.C., and her grandson, Thomas H. Van Sciver Jr., of Florida.
She is survived by two sons, Richard W. Van Sciver Jr. and wife Mary, of Sarasota, Fla., and Thomas H. Van Sciver Sr. and wife Michelle, of Waverly, Va,; brother-in-law, William D. Carson of Winterville, N.C.; two nieces, Penny J. Bartruff and husband, Ed, of Disputanta Va.; Pamela J. Aguilar and husband, David, of Winterville, N.C.; granddaughters, Amber Peyton and husband, Bryen, of North Port, Fla., and Tracy Van Sciver of North Port, Fla.; grandsons, Seth T. Van Sciver of Nokomis, Fla., and Richard W. Van Sciver III, of New Jersey; as well as a host of other grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nephews, other relatives and friends, including long-time friend since childhood, Gloria Rapagna of Rancocas, N.J.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday Nov. 7 at 3 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Waverly, located at 442 Coppahaunk Ave., Waverly VA.
Memorial donations may be sent to: Watchtower, 25 Columbia Hts., Brooklyn, N.Y. 11201-1300

MY sincere heart felt sympathy goes out to the family of the late Doris Vansciver,she was a very loving person,and know that we all feel your loss and we are praying that Jehovah will sustain you at this very sad time remember you have christian brothers and sisters who love your family very much and will gladly help with any thing.

I will miss Doris very much. She was the best mther-in-law and friend anyone could ask for. When I married Tom and moved to Florida I didn't know anyone at that time. I felt all alone but Doris made me feel like I was part of the family right away. She helped me with so much.
We talked on the phone for hours it seemed like. She was a special lady and I loved her very much.
