Parkersburg - On Tuesday, August 17, 2021 our hearts were saddened by the sudden passing of our beloved, Earl Connie Maye, Jr., 44, of Parkersburg, WV. He was born August 17, 1977 in Petersburg, to Earl and Esther Maye, Sr. of Petersburg, Earl Jr. accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Truevine Ministries in Petersburg. He was an active member of Downtown Bethel in Parkersburg, WV. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Emerson and Essie Whitaker; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Virginia Stewart and Thomas "Bubba Toe" Maye; uncles, Wallace and Junie Whitaker. Robert, James and Elmer Maye; aunt, Dorethea Whitaker; niece and nephews, Melody, Ezarie, Jonah and Jeremiah Beasley. Earl leaves to cherish the memory: his wife of 13 years, Heather Maye; two children, Russell and Sierra Nazelrod; parents, Earl and Esther Maye, Sr.; father and mother-in-law, Terry and Kimberly Markley; two sisters, Veronica James (Donald) and Shelly Beasley (Richard); seven aunts, Margaret Smith (Randell), Elizabeth Pitt, Althea Thompson, Eunice Briggs, Gladys Trotter (Calvin), Sylvia Maye and Ethel Hayes; three uncle, Jarvis Whitaker William and Arthur Maye; five devoted nieces, Shawntrice Moore, Alaysia Brown (Javon), Veronica Sharon Moore, Darlene Moore and Faith Beasley; one great niece, Jaliyah Woody; three great nephews, Josiah and Amari Brown, and Koran Parham; his devoted work family at Saint Joseph's Recovery Center and Recovery Point along with a host of relatives and friends. Services will be held 3:00 P.M., Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA. J.M.
