EDNA M. WIGGINS

Mrs. Edna May Wiggins, of 930 McKenzie St., Petersburg, Va., departed this life, Wednesday, June 27, 2012, in Chicago.

Edna was born July 28, 1941, in Filbert, W.Va., to the late Eddie May and Bertha May of Petersburg, Va. She was resident of Chicago for 32 years. Edna worked at Skill Tools Co. of 22 years and Replago Globes for 10 years, while living in Chicago. Edna relocated to Petersburg, Va., in 1998, where she worked at American Tudor Inn for three years and Fort Lee until retirement.

Edna was preceded in death by her father, Eddie May; four brothers, James, Elwood, Eugene and Curtis May; and one aunt, Mary DeVontino.

Edna leaves to cherish her memories, five caring children, Ardonis Wiggins of Petersburg, Va., Sharon Bates (John), Cheryl, Toney and Wanda Wiggins, all of Chicago; 23 grandchildren, among them two devoted, TaVaris Wiggins of Chicago and Ardonis Barnes of Chesterfield, Va.; a loving mother, Bertha May of Petersburg, Va.; four sisters, Thelma May, Minnie Cole (Larry), Linda Henderson and Brenda Rives, all of Petersburg, Va.; five brothers, Jerry May (Carolyn) of Petersburg, Va., Robert May of Chicago, Edward, Kenneth and Nelson May, all of Petersburg, Va.; one aunt, Thelma Stewart of Columbus, Ohio; two uncles, Paul Stewart of Cleveland and John Stewart of Columbus, Ohio; devoted niece, Leona May of Petersburg, Va., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Bethel Deliverance Center C.O.G.I.C., 5330 W. Division St., Chicago.
