Francis Quinn Obituary
He was the son of the late Francis S. Quinn Sr. and Alicia Githens Quinn. Mr. Quinn was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II in the 36th Infantry as a tank destroyer unit commander. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Colonial Heights American Legion Post #284, and the 40 & 8 Voiture #1530.
He is survived by his wife, Beth M. Quinn; sons, William F. Quinn and wife, Diane, of Colonial Heights, Michael D. Quinn and wife, Dawn, of Richmond, Joseph J. Quinn and wife, Kelli, of San Diego, and Robert H. Quinn and wife, Norma, of Wilmington, N.C.; a daughter, Mary B. Crist of Colonial Heights; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2009, in St. Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights, with Father Lou Ruoff, celebrant. Interment Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with a prayer service by the Knights of Columbus at 8. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church or Odyssey Healthcare of Richmond, 8000 Franklin Farms Drive, Suite 100, Richmond, VA 23229.
