Howard D. Burrow

Howard David Burrow, of 120 N. Old Church St., Petersburg, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at SRMC. He was the son of the late Lopierce and Anna Holloway Burrow. He was a member of Hunting Quarter Baptist Church, Stoney Creek, and a former employee an Titmus Optical Co., Petersburg.

He is survived by wife, Ferdine D. Burrow of Petersburg; two daughters, Audrey D. Brown and Michelle D. Goldsen, both of Ettrick; three sons, Howard Burrow (Mary) of New Orleans, Karl Burrow of Tokyo, Craig Burrow of Colonial Heights; two stepsons, Walter and Wayne Barnes of Petersburg; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three sisters, Mary Ruffin of Stony Creek, Mattie Davis and Justine Jackson, both of Petersburg; one brother, Percy Burrow of Louisa County; one sister-in-law, Irene Burrow of Stony Creek; two brothers-in-law, Herman Barnes and Symbious Hill, both of Petersburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends, among them devoted cousins, Elwood Burrow of Petersburg and caregiver, Tressa Beasley of Petersburg.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Tuckers Funeral Home with the Rev. James Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Minnis Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends will assemble at the residence at 2 p.m. Services under the direction of Tuckers Funeral Home, 415 Halifax St., Petersburg. A.A. Tucker, funeral director.
