James Allen Obituary

A funeral service for Mr. James Jerome (J.J.) Allen Sr. 61, of 1905 Stewart Ave., Hopewell, who departed this life on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at the residence of his daughter, will be held noon on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at the Chapel of William N. Band & Son Funeral Home, Petersburg. The Rev William N. Bland Jr., pastor of Metropolitan Baptist Church, Petersburg, will officiate. Interment will follow at Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester. However, Mr. Allen may be viewed at Turner-Bland Funeral Home, Hopewell, all day Tuesday. The family will assemble at the Petersburg chapel at 11:30 a.m. on the day of service and may be contacted at 253-5777.

Arrangements entrusted to the staff of William N. Bland & Son Funeral Home, Petersburg.

Lil you have our deepest sympathy,I rememmber my dad calling him Dr.J. PJ is goung to miss him whenever he came to Hopewell, he would always stop by with a book on racing or parts for his old car, and with plenty of jokies.
