Dear Buyalos family,
My deepest sympathies to your family. We lost our Dad in August so I know the pain and emptiness, however with time the pain lessens. Keep your memories close to your heart.

Daddy's Little Girl
If I had my life to do over,
I'd have chosen you to be my dad
once more.
Even if it meant losing you again,
It's worth all the tears in the
world.
You were my sunshine when skies
were gray.
I loved you and honored you;
You took all my tears away.
I was happy to be with you,
Proud to be your little girl.
Sometimes we would argue,
But to me you meant the world.
Your love was always pure;
You treated me as your own.
Your time seemed all too short and
I feel so alone.
What can I take from this?
My heart is completely crushed.
But nothing loved is ever lost -
And you are loved so much.

I feel you in the morning
When at first I awake
Your thought is with me
With each decision I make
You'd been around forever
Since the first breath I took
Now I have to go on alone
But for love, I need not look
Cause by what you bestowed
In our short time together
Will last in my heart
Forever and ever
Although you've left
And now walk above
I'm never alone
I'm wrapped in your love
Enjoy now your long waited reward
Feel peace that your love continues on
What was taught to me, will be taught to mine
Cause you live on in me even after you've

When I Get To Heaven
If I get to heaven before you do,
I will be at the gate waiting for you,
And for all the blessings, given to me,
I will show you around, for all to see.
For you were a blessing on earth below,
And I really love you more then you know,
I thank God for a friendship dear,
And when we get to heaven, no more fear.
We will pick roses forever my dear friend,
We will walk through, sunshine without an end,
And we will sing with the angels, up above,
And never know the meaning of not being love.
So when you get discouraged and feeling blue,
Just remember, this dream will come through,
Remember, there’s someone that cares for you,
And is praying Gods blessings on whatever,
You do.

The Lord is close to those who trust Him,
And He conveys in some way,
As a kiss from heaven I believe,
Lightly brushed my cheek one day.
A deep reverence enveloped so,
When I felt the Lord touch me,
You see I was by myself writing,
Asking Him for words that be.
Oh I’ll never cease to be amazed,
How the love of the Lord’s sweet,
Feeling His presence fare closely by,
Lean o’er my shoulder and greet.
The Lord touched me and how the words flowed,
His loving touch is Divine,
How His favor preciously blessed me,
A kiss from heaven’s now mine.
Precious Savior Lord of me and mine,
One day He just let me know,
He was with me, a kiss from heaven,
Touched me to forever glow.
The Lord is close to those who trust Him,
A kiss from heaven’s to seek,
With me it’s His rose scent forever,
Always His fragrance will speak.

What a wonderful friend is Jesus
Looking down from His throne on high,
Sending His Love and Blessings,
Until we reign with Him in the by and by!
When my work down here is ended,
And time will be no more,
I want to snuggle close to Jesus,
And live with Him for ever more!
He'll wrap His arms around me,
And say, I love you my precious child,
I saw your hurts and tears,
But I was with you all the while!
We can view the lights from Heaven,
Angels, singing around God's throne,
Oh....Eternity will be just glorious,
As Jesus welcomes...His children home!

1 John 4:9-10
In this was the love of God manifested toward us,
because that God sent his only begotten Son
into the world, that we might live through him.
Here in is love, not that we loved God , but that
he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation
for our sins.

Memories from long ago,
Linger inside my heart,
Bringing happy thoughts of,
A time of youthful start.
A home filled with laughter,
Children racing all around,
Love saturated every nook,
Sweet happiness did abound.
I still see the oak tree out back,
With a sand bag for a swing,
Secured to a hardy limb,
With a rope and broken chain.
It's my turn would ring out,
As children quickly scrambled,
To find a coveted place in line,
Whilst their excitement mounted.
Jumping board was a favorite,
Marbles and spinning tops,
Skipping rope and playing tag,
Riding the whirligig nonstop.
The house now is in disarray,
Windows gone and doors torn down,
Pieces of the roof missing,
Others flopping all around.
The chimney is still standing,
It's fires warmed many a soul,
The love that this place housed,
Made our family strong and whole.
To look upon the old house,
Falling down from lack of care,
Bring tears as I go back in time,
To a home we once did share.
Lingering memories haunt my thoughts,
Delightful and filled with glee,
Almost mocking the present time by,
Mirroring a happier me.
Can the spirit of this house,
Look inside my aching heart,
Is it possible it knows,
My life has fallen apart?
I came searching for the happiness,
Once a common part of life,
Taken for granted by me in my youth,
Replaced by painful strife.
I look upon the outside of this house,
Then gaze deep inside my inner soul,
I find many similarities exist,
Age not the least as it took its toll.
Roof torn and windows missing,
A shell of what I knew as home,
I stand in the overgrown yard,
Just as empty and alone.

First I want you to know "I LOVED YOU ALL"
As I know you all "LOVED ME!
I am at peace with my "HEAVENLY FATHER"
Don't shed your tears over me.
There is no more sorrow, pain or tears only happiness,
With our loved ones who have gone on before.
Where my days and nights are bright.
With the love of our Father's Holy Light.
In His Beautiful Paradise with His Angels to hold me tight,
Where we can walk the streets of Gold for Eternity.
I'm sorry I had to leave you all but,
My Heavenly Father called me to join my flight,
To a place you can only dream of where some day,
All of "GOD'S" angels will take their flight to their,
Heavenly Home on that great Celestial Shore.
Where we will live for Eternity with our Father.
So be at peace my children, stay close to "God" and pray.
You know not what tomorrow may bring.
There is no "LOVE " greater than our "Father's LOVE"
He gave His all at Calvary so, we may have eternal life.
We'll be together one bright and glorious Day,
When your work on Earth is done.

Sitting around so lonely
With no one with which to share
I seemed lost in a world of turmoil
Was there someone that would care
Turned to something from deep past
And offered up a prayer
For many years I lived on silent
Not caring where life led
Forgot my Lord who's suffered for me
Thought of myself instead
Today I saw I should again look for
A belief to keep me in good stead
I guess I'd been complacent
Just needed a good shove
To turn back to the Lord I'd forgotten
Who was watching from above
And when I'd join the flock again
He'd shower me with His love
Went out into quiet countryside
Where the gentle breezes blow
Spoke quietly to the Lord in prayer
What I said, He'd surely know
Asked for a sign He'd heard me
In a way that I would know
The sky above was clouded
As I asked the Lord to be my guide
Thought back to days so long ago
When told, "Believers will be justified"
The clouds seemed to be parting
As the heavens opened wide
The sun did shine so brightly
As if lit up for me
A weight from my shoulders lifted
By that light that I could see
I'm sure it was a sign the Lord was giving
How He'd helped to set me free
Freed from my life of turmoil
I would no longer feel the pain
Or that dreaded lonesome feeling
I would not meet again
For I was now part of that Kingdom
Where the Lord does truly reign
Now looking down into the valley
I stopped again to pray
Saw the darkened sky above me
Broken by sun's bright ray
When the heavens opened for me
On that special day
Ephesians Chapter 5 : Verse 8
(American Bible)
You yourselves used to be in the darkness,
but since you have become the Lord's people,
you are the light.
(KJV)
For ye were once darkness,
but are now light in the Lord:
walk as children of light.

A precious souvenir,
I shall treasure for many a year,
Is the remains of a beautiful rose.
I have placed it in a book,
So I can take a look,
When the need to reminisce grows!
Like the deceased friend whom I knew,
This rose also lived and grew,
Spreading its fragrance all around!
Ah, but now its beauty is gone away,
And beneath the cold, cold clay,
His remains await Gabriel's trumpet sound!
My life has an empty space,
For I long to see his face.
Oh, there's a hurt time can only attempt to mend.
Eventually the memory of my friend may dim,
But each time I think of him,
I thank God for such a precious friend!
Ah, I can hardly wait,
To enter Heaven's gate,
And see the Saints all dressed in white array!
Thank God, death is not the end!
Soon I shall see my friend,
In that Land of Never Ending Day!

Give 'em a hug, a great big kiss.
Because one day, he will be greatly missed.
My daddy has gone far away from this land,
I miss the precious touch of his loving hands.
I never knew last year was the last day,
I could look at my daddy, hug him, and say:
"I love you, Daddy! Happy Father's Day!"
Don't let one day go by without telling him
how dear he is!
Remember you may not have another year to tell him this!
All I have now is great memories, a heart
full of love and eyes full of tears, and
to remember his love throughout the years.
Now I will have to look up at the stars and
say, "I love you, Daddy! Happy Father's Day!"
Please remember when you pray, to thank your
heavenly father up above.
For your father he gave you with so much love.
"He lived, for Jesus died;
He died, for Jesus Lives."

Growing up you were always there
Each and every day showing me that you cared.
Spoiling me every chance that you had.
Letting me know that is okay to be sad.
After school, you checked on us day after day,
Listening to every word we had to say.
Each moment we spent together
Will be special to me forever.
Days spent shopping or mowing
Were as precious as when it was snowing.
My best memories are those at the time of year
When we decorated for Christmas with care.
The family would gather to feast
Which now happens the least.
Christmas magic soared through the air
While you taught me how to share.
Thirteen years I kept you in my sight.
Now all I can do is hold the memories tight.
The day your soul drifted high
My heart knew, and all I could do was cry.
A half hour later, I was pulled out of class
To find my mom in a state of distress.
When my eyes met hers.
We both broke down into tears.
I have spent five years trying to put it in my past
And now in college I have come to peace with it at last.
A part of my heart left with you.
The part that told me what to do.
Once at college, I became confused and lost.
I went to the church where God I sought.
God told me something I did not know.
I have your hand on my shoulder telling me where to go.
I once thought the part of me that went with you
Was lost forever and would not be put to good use.
I now realize that I never lost part of my soul.
I simply shared it with you to keep us whole.
You watched over me while you were here
And I know that you will watch over me from up there.
Grandpa, to me you meant the world.
Now with you I can live in the world.
A sign of Christmas and peace is the dove.
You taught me that to have peace one must have love.
Therefore with love one can have peace.
Together, we will indulge in life - God's feast.
My love for you, Grandpa, will soon project
Into the love you will help me use to protect.

The will of God will never take you:
Where the grace of God cannot keep you.
Where the arms of God cannot support you,
Where the riches of God cannot supply your needs,
Where the power of God cannot endow you.
The will of God will never take you:
Where the spirit of God cannot work through you,
Where the wisdom of God cannot teach you,
Where the army of God cannot protect you,
Where the hands of God cannot mold you.
The will of God will never take you:
Where the love of God cannot enfold you,
Where the mercies of God cannot sustain you,
Where the peace of God cannot calm your fears,
Where the authority of God cannot overrule for you.
The will of God will never take you:
Where the comfort of God cannot dry your tears,
Where the Word of God cannot feed you,
Where the miracles of God cannot be done for you,
Where the omnipresence of God cannot find you

SAFELY HOME
I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief are over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.
Did you wonder how I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Ah! But Jesus love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade.
And He came Himself to meet me
in that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus' arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still;
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's will.
There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now while life remaineth,
You shall rest in Jesus' land.
When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home;
Oh, the rapture of the meeting!
Oh, the joy to see you come!
All the pain and grief are over,
Every restless tossing passed,
Now at peace forever,
Safely Home In Heaven At Last!

AS LONG AS I AM BREATHING
I awoke so early at the dawn of the new day,
Hoping the nightmare would just go away,
But the tears started flowing, as they did the night before,
Why did you leave me? What was this for?
I thought I couldn't face another broken day,
I hated the reality that you were taken away,
It's just not fair that this has happened to us,
And it started to scare me that I had lost my trust,
So I looked to the heavens and I asked God "Why"?
Why in the world would a child have to die?
I didn't get an answer that day or the next,
And, I guess looking back; the question was too complex,
It took a while to realise that you weren't really gone,
That as long as I was breathing your spirit would live on,
So life took on a different meaning, I was living for us both,
Two souls inside one body, two spirits and one host.
Now, with every breath I take, I take for me and you,
And with every song I sing, I'm singing it for two,
And there's no doubt in my mind, with the prayers that I have prayed,
That the wings that you are wearing, grow larger every day.
The strength that you are giving me, on my journey here on earth,
Reflects through me, back at you, on your journey of rebirth,
Stand strong by God, you're in good hands, and I'll stand strong as well,
And together we'll journey through these lives, in each other's hearts, parallel.

His life was an example to others on how they should be. He was kind, considerate, and even tempered, loving and was loved by all that knew him. He is missed very much by all that knew and loved him.. We all learned so much from Jim and will forever be grateful for his friendship...Thanks to his family for sharing such a wonderful man with us.There is so much we all can carry with us through life that Jim taught us...I shared many laughs and many tears with him.He was someone who was quick to say "Forget it, it will get better tomorrow" If the world could learn to focus on family and make them number one like Jim did each and everyday...what a wonderful world it would be..The stories he could sit around and tell us at work about his family and about things that happened as his children grew up would have us rolling out our chairs...and oh how we all knew how much Millie and Patches meant to him.If you didnt know he was talking about his pets you would swear he was talking about a family member...God has chosen another flower for his garden...I LOVE YOU JIM...

Road To Eternity
Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
To sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We are all meant to learn some things,
But never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know,
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
But when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the Lord.

Love Lives On
Those we love are never really lost to us--
we feel them in so many special ways--
through friends they always cared about
and dreams they left behind,
in beauty that they added to our days...
in words of wisdom we still carry with us
and memories that never will be gone...
Those we love
are never really lost to us--
for everywhere their special love lives on.

If I Should Ever Leave You
If I should ever leave you,
Whom I love
To go along the silent way,
Grieve not,
Nor speak of me with tears.
But laugh and talk of me
as if I were beside you there
For I will come-I'll come!
Would I not find a way,
Were tears and grief not be barriers?
And when you hear a song or see a bird I loved,
Please do not let your thoughts of me be sad.
For I am loving you just as I always have . . .
You who were so good to me!
There are so many thing I wanted still to do-
So many things to say to you . . .
Remember, please, that I did not fear death.
It was just leaving you that was so hard to face.
You cannot see beyond this life
But this you know . . . I loved you so
Never doubt that I am with you still!
For love does not die with the body
And nothing in heaven or on earth
Can keep apart those who love.

If You Knew
If you knew where I am standing
If you could see the sights I see
If you could hear the angels singing
The songs they sing eternally
If you knew the One I'm holding
Could see the smile He smiles at me
If you knew where I am resting
You would not cry for me
I'm resting in the arms of Jesus
No other place would I rather be
So if you shed a tear
Please don't shed it for me
For if you knew where I am resting
You would not cry for me
You are greatly missed by your sons and daughters....
Your grandchildren and great grandchildren,wife,friend,co-workers, You are also missed by your many friends.

Never Gone
An old star faded,
a new one shines bright.
A day of joy and sorrow,
has now blended into night.
Tears have formed,
then were blnked away,
as stories were remembered,
from a distant day.
Tears will form,
then be blinked away,
as new memories are made,
to remember another day.
Birth and death, one a begining,
the other not really an end,
for a soul that is started,
lives forever my friend.
So when a memory is awakened,
whether it evokes a smile or tear,
know that someone's spirit,
is hovering very near.

What You Mean To Me
What you mean to me,
I could never express
You always greet me
With a smile and a hug
No matter what is wrong
You just smile and
Say, "It’ll be all right."
I know you can’t stay
For your time is drawing near
I love and cherish you like no other
Because to me
You were like my brother
You have always been special
To all that were around you
The memories we have of you
Will keep burning forever
One more thing before you go
When you get to Heaven
Keep a light on for me

You care and love me with all your soul,
You feed me even though I can be a messy pup!
I love you so much,
Your love and sympathy is all I ask for.
But on that special day I’m going to give you
something.
No, not chocolates or flowers,
No, not make-up and bag,
Something more important, something you gave me
and I’m giving back.
It is my love and sympathy.

A Pocketful of Sympathy
A pocketful of sympathy
Is really rather wonderful
To stop a scratch from stinging
Or a bruise from black and bluing
A pocketful of sympathy
Can stop a heart from hurting
Or catch a tear that's falling
Like a raindropp down a cheek
A pocketful of sympathy
Costs absolutely nothing
It's the cheapest kind of plaster
That you'll ever ever find
And a pocketful of sympathy
Is like Lindsay's Magic Pudding
'Cos the more of it you give away
The more you leave behind

I was sitting here thinking
of the words I want to say,
but they just wouldn't come out right
so I found a different way
I got a piece of paper
and I wrote this poem for you,
but there's no way to thank you
for everything you do
For always being nice to me
and staying by my side,
for helping fix my problems
and never leaving me behind
For accepting my thoughts and feelings,
though you do not understand,
for never giving up on me
and being my best friend
For making me laugh
and letting me cry
and saying you'd miss me
if I were to die
Everything you mean to me
you could never know
In all the ways you've changed my life
I could never show
The way you take care of me,
you're my shining star
and though it's so incredible
that's just the way you are
Before I get too mushy
it's time for me to go,
but before I leave this ink-filled page
there's one thing you should know
As long as we are living,
no matter when or where,
if you ever need me
just call and I'll be there
I'll climb a thousand mountains
and swim a thousand seas
anything to be there
'cause you've been there for me

A friend is someone we turn to,
When our spirits need a lift,
A friend is someone we treasure,
For true friendship is a gift.
A friend is someone we laugh with,
Over little personal things,
A friend is someone we're serious with,
In facing whatever life brings.
A friend is someone who fills our lives,
With beauty and joy and grace.
And makes the world that we live in
A better and happier place!

Friendship is a Golden Chain,
The links are friends so dear,
And like a rare and precious jewel
It's treasured more each year...
It's clasped together firmly
With a love that's deep and true,
And it's rich with happy memories
and fond recollections, too...
Time can't destroy its beauty
For, as long as memory lives,
Years can't erase the pleasure
That the joy of friendship gives...
For friendship is a priceless gift
That can't be bought or sold,
But to have an understanding friend
Is worth far more than gold...
And the Golden Chain of Friendship
Is a strong and blessed tie
Binding kindred hearts together
As the years go passing by.
Best Friends Forever
Author Unknown
I sit alone thinking of you
and all the things we've both been through
You are my soul mate, my very best friend
and I know you'll be there until the end
Your shoulder to cry on will soon be gone
who will be there when something is wrong
When times are tough you're always there
It shows me just how much you care
Although were going separate ways
you're in my heart till my final days
Nothing can make a person see
how special a friend you are to me
I dreamed of a friend just like you
and finally my dream came true
Nothing else could ever fulfill
everything you're friendship will
You understand a side of me
that no one else could ever see
You know whats wrong before i cry
but if I do, you will always know why
A friend like you is hard to find
you put my problems all behind
You were there when no one cared
the best times were the ones we shared
We've been together through good and bad
you made me laugh when i was sad
And no one else could ever be
as good of a friend you are to me
Our time together is wilting away
more and more everyday
But now until the very end
you'll always be my special friend.

Dad is a person who is loving and kind,
And often he knows what you have on your mind.
He's someone who listens, suggests, and defends.
A dad can be one of your very best friends!
He's proud of your triumphs,
but when things go wrong,
A dad can be patient
and helpful and strong
In all that you do, a dad's love plays a part.
There's always a place for him deep in your heart.
And each year that passes, you're even more glad,
More grateful and proud just to call him your dad!
Thank you, Dad...
for listening and caring,
for giving and sharing,
but, especially, for just being you!
You mean so very much to me,
And I want you to know
That you are always in my heart,
No matter where I go.
You're always giving, always there
To help in any way;
The loving things you've done for me,
I never could repay.
I can't imagine what I'd do
Without the love you give.
I'll treasure your sweet heart of gold
As long as I shall live.
When I was just a tiny kid,
Do you remember when,
The time you kissed my bruises,
Or cleaned my soiled chin?
You scrambled for the balls I hit,
(Short-winded more than not,)
Yet, every time we'd play a game,
You praised the "outs" I caught.
It seems like only yesterday,
You wiped away my tears,
And late at night I called your name,
To chase away my fears.
Though time has changed your handsome grip,
Your hair is snowy white,
You gait's a little slower now,
Thick glasses help your sight.
Oh, do I thirst for years gone by,
To be that growing lad,
Re-living all of the memories,
Of growing up with my dad
As I ponder the love that I saw in his eyes,
A Godly love, given without compromise....
I recall many times that he stood by my side,
And prodded me on with great vigor and pride.
His voice ever confident, firm and yet fair,
Always speaking with patience, tenderness and care.
The power and might of his hands was so sure,
I knew there was nothing we couldn't endure.
It's true, a few others provided insight,
Yet, he laid the foundation that kept me upright.
He's the grandest of men to have lived on this earth,
Although he's not royal by stature or birth.
He's a man of great dignity, honor and strength.
His merits are noble, and of admirable length.
He's far greater than all other men that I know,
He's my Dad, he's my mentor, my friend and hero.
Thank you for the laughter,
For the good times that we share,
Thanks for always listening,
For trying to be fair.
Thank you for your comfort,
When things are going bad,
Thank you for the shoulder,
To cry on when I'm sad.
This poem is a reminder that
All my life through,
I'll be thanking Heaven
For a Special Dad like you."
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it ... Dad

I don't know when it started,
Or how it all began.
But God created families,
As only our Lord can.
He was teaching what it means,
To love, honor, and obey.
He wanted a strong bond,
That we don't see too much today.
He wanted someone to hold us,
And show respect for others.
He wanted someone who'd be gentle,
And so he created mothers.
He wanted someone strong,
A support filled with love.
And so he created fathers,
Sent from heaven up above.
Brothers and sisters came next,
With that, an instant friend.
Someone to look up to,
Someone on who to depend.
When he put them all together,
He was amazed at what he'd done.
He had created a family,
Mother, father, daughter, son.
But look at the family,
Created by only two.
How many we've become,
And all because of you.
We have a lot to be thankful for,
The memories through the years.
The many times together,
Full of laughter, full of tears.
I don't know where we'd be today,
If it weren't for the two of you.
To show us strength, support, and love,
Like only the two of you can do.
I don't know when it started,
Or how it all began.
But God created families,

Up in heaven,
They have someone new,
At those gates,
He'll be waiting for you.
Not just now,
We need you here,
We'll all help you through,
Each and every tear.

Your hands so warm
your voice so clear
I still remember your laughter
like yesterday had never gone
I miss your words of encouragement
words that kept me hanging on
now your gone
the tears keep flowing
only hoping
that one day the pain will fade
Daddy why did you have to go away
We love you and miss you
I know I will see again some day
Our father was a great man and is greatly missed

Why did you have to go and die?
I don't want to have to say goodbye.
God must have thought you were special to take you away,
but couldn't he have waited for another day?
God’s looking after you now,
High, high up in the sky.
Up there where all the angels lie.
You wouldn't have wanted me to make a fuss,
After all, you're still down here with all of us.
Just because I can't see you, doesn't mean you’re not here.
I know you are somewhere very, very near.
I love you so much but it time to say:
Goodbye My Friend
Because your life here on earth has come to an end.
Rest in Peace, PAPA

So many things we never got to do
So many conversations we never got through
I feel lost and empty now
Every day I ask, how?
I could feel nothing when you died
I felt I wanted to run and hide
Run and hide cause I felt blind
Peace and and clarity I couldn't find
They say when you die your soul just flies away
I wanted to chase your soul, so for another day you could just come and stay
You were my Grams, you taught me how to stand on my own
Now that you’re gone, I feel as though I can’t do it alone
I've tried so hard to see things through and become the person you wanted me to be
Sometimes it’s just so hard being me
I'd give anything if I could just talk to you once more
To see you walk through the door
and tell me that everything was going to be alright for sure
When I look into the sky I picture you staring down
Which is why I have no reason to frown
All the things you taught me, all the songs we use to sing
Now you’re gliding under God’s precious wings
I hope He’s taking good care of you because now you’re in His place
I hope all your worries and all your fears have left your face
I never got so say goodbye that was the worst part
But I know that when you left secretly you said goodbye to my heart
So when I lay myself into bed tonight
I know you'll always be there to hold me tight.

One More Day
Sitting sadly on my bed
Listening to the wild winds blow,
Crying bitterly behind my hair
Trying not to let it show.
Knowing that you won't be back
You left without good-bye's,
Never to mend my broken heart
Letting loose my cries.
Everyday I waited
And everyday I prayed,
Hoping God would leave you here
At least just one more day.
I will always miss you poppa xoxo

In Memory:
A thousand times we needed you
A thousand times we cried
If love alone could have saved you
you never would have died
A heart of gold stopped beating
two twinkling eyes closed to rest
God broke our hearts to prove he only took the best
never a day goes by that you’re not in my heart and my soul.

Aging
Eventually you will reach a point when you stop lying about your age and start bragging about it.
The older we get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know "why" I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.
When you are dissatisfied and would like to go back to youth, think of Algebra.
You know you are getting old when everything either dries up or leaks.
I don't know how I got over the hill without getting to the top.
One of the many things no one tells you about aging is that it is such a nice change from being young.
One must wait until evening to see how splendid the day has been.
Being young is beautiful, but being old is comfortable.
Long ago when men cursed and beat the ground with sticks, it was called witchcraft. Today it's called golf.
If you don't learn to laugh at trouble, you won't have anything to laugh at when you are old.

Why God Made Friends
God made the world
with a heart full of love.
Then He looked down
from Heaven above.
And saw we all needed
a helping hand,
someone to share with,
who'll understand.
He made special people
to see us through,
the glad times and
the sad times, too.
A person on whom
we can always depend;
someone we can call a friend.
God made friends
so we'll carry a part,
of His perfect love
in all of our hearts.

God has asked that your friend come and rest their head in Gods care.
And that their journey has only just begun, but its more than you can bare...
For their time has come to leave and start anew...
For they loved their family, and the ones that they held true...
So please don't shed a lot of tears for me.
For someday I will get to be again with thee...
I'm spreading my wings, given you a wave good-bye...
For my love it will never die...
So be happy for me, I'll be at peace now.
We'll see each other again someday my friend, this I bow...
I know that you can't understand the question of why...
That I had to up and leave you and die...
Please just remember that I am not dead.
My memories will live forever in your head...
So always remember this my friend.
I'll be that shinning star up in the sky above..

My Friends Are Like Angels
I met an angel, and yes it was you,
I love it when I have a friend that is true.
We talk, and we talk, and meet others to.
our circle gets bigger, oh look how it grew.
When ever I need a friend to talk to,
I turn this on and come looking for you.
It seems no matter what time of day,
there's always somebody who's not far away.
My friends need no halo, I love you this way,
you always have a way of brighten my day.
So thank-you my friends, I love all of you,
for you are my Angels and my friends so true.
My friends are my angels,
this comes from heart, and I love each of you.
So remember there's always an angel somewheres,
who is looking for a friend, and someone who cares.
So don't be afraid to open your heart, and let someone in there...

Have you recently noticed the trees
And felt the freshness in the breeze?
Did you glance up at the sky?
To see the birds flying~oh so high
'Suppose the birds are on their way
Back home to nest, raise their young and play
In the sunshine by day and rest at night
Ah, to be winging with them in flight
Glorious beauty to behold God placed in view
His amazing Rainbow, a beginning of new
Things to come and to all a sign
A Heavenly glimpse of God's design
In His wisdom for us no doubt His guide
Fulfilling HIS promise of our home by His side
As the birds we'll trust Him by His Grace
While anxiously awaiting His embrace
In God's Glory there we shall see
Strokes from our Master's hand as He
Paints the Rainbow for you and me
All colors will blend not a one left out
A witness of what His Love is all about

WHY GOD GAVE US FRIENDS
God knew that everyone needs
Companionship and cheer...
He knew that people need someone
Whose thoughts are always near.
He knew they needed someone kind
to lend a helping hand...
Someone to gladly take the time
To care and understand...
That's why God gave us friends
God knew that we all need someone
To share each happy day...
To be a source of courage
When troubles come our way..
Someone to be true to us
Whether near or far apart..
Someone whose love we'll always hold
And treasure in our hearts...
That's why God gave us friends~~~
THE REASONS
The special bond
that keeps us close
is built on many things~
The warmth and understanding
that a special friendship brings,
The comfort and security
of knowing someone cares~
Who takes the time to listen,
who reaches out and shares...
The friendship
that I share with you
means very much to me..
THE SEEDS OF FRIENDSHIP
Just like a rose,
so precious and rare,
is the forever friendship
and the love we share.
Planted with kindness,
it's warmed by the sun
of caring and sharing,
laughter and fun.
It's also planted in trust
and nurtured by love,
with a sprinkling of faith
from God above.
Tears of sadness and joy,
like dew,
renew this friendship
I share always with you.
And in the garden of our hearts,
always we find the room
to be ourselves,
to grow and bloom.
Our friendship is like the rose
beneath the snow lies the seed that grows,
Sometime in silence it will lay
but in our hearts it will forever stay.
Although, they are now with our God in Heaven,
you can see their love as it Glows,
in their garden of the Rose.

Missing you creates a heart ache,
the void of no mail nor call,
from you I must take.
I miss the notes you used to write,
and now my phone is very quiet.
But I understand and wait in silent love,
knowing you are working for Christ above.
Use the talents you possess,
the forrest would be silent if only there
were birds that sang the best.
If a man does not keep pace with his Lord above,
Perhaps it is because he hears a
different drummer void of Love.
Pray they listen to the music they should hear,
Then our God will always be near.
Would you in HIS work find a place of rest?
Would you in HIS service labor always at your best?
Let HIM have HIS way with thee,
In your walk they shall surely see.
My prayers continue each night and day,
to brighten your life along the way.
If one song that you play,
should rescue a sheep gone astray,
Then you will know you let HIM have HIS
way with thee,
With a song in your heart,
they will be set free
Dedicated to my friend in Christ,
with much love.

23RD PSALMS
1. The LORD is my shepherd I shall not want
2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures
He leadeth me beside the still waters
3. He restoreth my soul
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake
4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me
5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies, thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over
6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
AMEN

Occasionally, we are graced with the presence of an earth
bound angel. They are unable to stay with us for long, but
while they do, they bring unprecedented joy and happiness to
all they touch. While they are here, we bask in their goodness
and marvel at their contribution to the world. When they
leave, we are left with the devastation that comes with losing
such a wonderful being... but we must remember... the earth
bound angels are not ours to keep. They are ours to enjoy,
learn from, and behold until they return home.

We go through life so often,
not stopping to enjoy the day. And we take each one for granted,
As we travel on our way.
For in your pain and sorrow,
An Angel's Kiss will help you through, This kiss is very private, For it is meant for
only you.
We never stop to measure, Anything we just might miss. But if the wind should blow
by softly, You'll feel an
Angel's Kiss.
A kiss that is sent from
heaven, A kiss from up above.
A kiss that is very special,
From someone that you love.
So when, your hearts are heavy, And filled with tears and pain, And no one can console you, Remember once again...
About the ones you grieve for, Because you sadly miss. And the gentle breeze you took for granted, Was just an Angel's Kiss.

If an angel is someone who's so filled with love,
It's a gift that they constantly share...
If an angel is someone who looks out for others,
And gives them a nudge here or there...
If an angel is someone who touches your life
With a heart that's both joyful and wise...
Then even though you don't have halo or wings,
You're an angel in human disguise.

If tears could build a stairway,
And memories were a lane.
I would walk right up to heaven,
To bring you home again.
No farewell words were spoken,
No time to say good-bye.
You were gone before I knew it,
And only God knows why.
My heart still aches in sadness,
And secret tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you,
No one will ever know.
You and angels around Gods happy throne.
I would have held you closer if I had known

He Only Takes The Best
God saw they were their happiest and
someone would not let that be.
So He put his arms around them and whispered
"Come with Me".
With tear filled eyes we watched them,
suffer and fade away. Although we
loved them deeply, We could not
make them stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands put to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.

The Next Room
Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped
away into the next room. I am I, and you are you.
What ever we were to each other, that
we still are. Call me by my old familiar name,
speak to me in the easy way which you
always used. Put no difference in your tone,
wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes
we enjoyed together. Pray, smile, think of me,
pray for me. Let my name be the household word
that it always was. Let it be spoken without effect,
without the trace of a shadow on it. Life means
all that it ever meant, It is the same as it ever was;
there is unbroken continuity, Why should I be
out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere
very near, just round the corner. All is well.
For I have gone to a city where the roses
never fade.

I'll see you when the sun goes down
And all the stars go crazy,
And Christ returns to claim His throne
Upon this erring earth.
And you and I will be amazed
At all that now seems hazy;
For now is faith, but then will be
The glory of rebirth.
Death will die, and we will sing
With angels at our ears,
And all my love for you will pour
Like rivers from my song.
And joy will never end, for we
Will be beyond the years,
And time before the end of time
Will not seem very long.
How beautiful Creation will
Then be! Much more than now,
When visible to faith alone
As we endure our pain.
How wonderful the gift of grace
From Christ that will allow
Me well to bear my grief until
I see you once again.
When death must come at Christmastime,
There is a special grief,
A mourning that must mix with joy,
A pain that must be brief.
There is an anguish underneath
The labyrinth of light
That longs for simple emptiness
To contemplate the night.
But life must bubble on its way
And pleasure be put on,
For neither sorrow nor delight
Is ever left alone.
And, like the Virgin, we must smile
With enigmatic grace
As we receive the fragile gift
That nothing can replace.

I didn't get a chance to say goodbye
To you, to tell you that I loved you, to say
What now must be one long, unbroken cry
Of pain, now that at last you've gone away.
I cannot tell you what a joy it was
To be the one to tend you in your need.
The burden was a gift, for giving does
Not burden one who loves, though loving bleed.
I wish I could have been with you when you,
Perhaps aware, perhaps not, turned towards death
Alone, with no one there to wonder to,
To share your fear, your hand, your one last breath.
I wish, I wish, I wish . . . but it is done,
And now I must surrender what is gone.
want you to be happy when I'm gone.
When you mourn me, make your mourning bright,
Adjusting what you long for to the light.
Nor need you love the less what has passed on.
The art of memory is celebration,
Yearning that turns sorrow into song,
Opening a heart forever young
Upon the unmade bed of its creation.
Then celebrate my life, and also death,
On which I, like a mendicant, depend,
Begging that my suffering might end
Even as I fight for every breath.
Hold onto me with unresentful tears,
A testament to what we've learned of love,
Pleased again to move as your heart moves,
Partaking with no loss in passion of
Years as rich and full as were our years.

He is Always There
Author Unknown
We can't foresee the turning of the tide
When problems beset us and tears are cried.
Sometimes life deals from the bottom of the deck
Filling us with worry and leaving us a wreck.
The enemy seeks to devour and destroy,
Using deceptions to eliminate our joy.
While walking through the valley, our heads hung low,
The mountain top seems so high, our footsteps slow.
How many times have we traveled this road
To battle the frustrations of troubles bestowed?
Yet when we come to our darkest hour
God demonstrates His infinite power.
It doesn't matter how bad things might seem,
He always comes through, our faith to redeem.
God will not fail us in our times of pain.
He'll never forsake us, by our side He'll remain.
So when we find ourselves at a total loss
Or when the valley seems too wide to cross,
Just remember you're in His love and care,
Look over your shoulder, He's always there!

The tears of sorrow, now, will be outweighed by all the years of loving memories and the happiness and smiles those will bring to each of you in the days to come. At Home With God
I know you had to leave my love,
God has called you home.
I'm glad you're in a better place,
But how do I go on?
When you left, you took a part of me,
and part of you remains.
You'll always live in my heart.
That will never change.
At first there were regrets
for things never said or done,
but I'm past that now.
My memories are happy ones.
I guess that's part of living,
but some things never change,
and I know the love we shared
will always remain.
I know you want me to be happy
and I promise you I'll try.
But don't ask me to forget,
my love for you will never die.

JESUS Sends An Angel
Today I touched an Angel
and it made my soul want to fly.
As he came down to me
I could see the love of GOD
in his eyes.
He said JESUS is calling
and it is time for you to go home.
And as he put his hand in my hand
every burden I had was gone.
JESUS sent an Angel
to take me to my home above.
And all about me there was JESUS'
light of love.
My soul is happy and free
as all of GOD's wonders
I finally see.
Oh, how beautiful it is to me.

Without You In My Life
Without you in my life
There would be no stars in the sky,
No moon to lighten the night,
No sun to brighten my day.
Tears in my eyes blind my vision.
I look for you everywhere I go,
In everyone I see.
I pray each day to help me
Get back to where I used to be.
Without you in my life,
Being your wife.
I'm not ready to put you in my past.
I just want what we had to last.
Maybe some day I can start over
Without you in my life.
When the memories have faded
Into history of you and me and
I can awake to a bright sunny day,
Knowing everything will be ok.

A Better View
Dear loved ones lift your spirits, and take a peek up here.
One glimpse will soothe your sorrow for my new home will appear.
You'll see this land of promise, which we often talked about,
Its grandeur is far greater than we dreamed, without a doubt.
I expected golden pathways, mansions fair and gates of pearls,
But this place exceeds the visions I beheld while in that world.
Look with love and find great comfort as you gaze beyond the veil;
Fill your hearts with joy and join me in God's presence, where I dwell.
What a thrill to be here dancing in the midst of Heaven's throng,
See me mingling with the angles singing praise and worship songs.
Though you miss me Im not distant; I still have my sights on you,
I just crossed into forever where I have a better view.
Keep good memories to console you but let grief and mourning go;
Smile dear loved one, Im in Heaven, living in Gods Gracious Glow.

Gods Garden
God looked around his garden
and saw an empty place.
He then looked down on earth,
and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
and lifted you to rest.
Gods garden must be a beautiful place,
He only takes the best.
He knew that you would never
get well on earth again.
He saw the road getting rough
and the hills hard to climb,
So he closed your weary eyes
and whispered "Peace Be Thine".
It broke our hearts to lose you,
but you're not going alone.
for part of us went with you
the day God called you home.
If tears could build a stairway
and heartaches could make a lane,
we'd walk a path to Heaven
and bring you home again.

If you have a problem, look to Jesus, because he is the man with all the answers. If in doubt of Jesus, it's not him that you need to doubt, because he is always there. Read your bible everyday for it has solutions to problems that you may not even have yet. And if God doesn't make sense right now, it is because you do not see the big picture of what he is doing in your life. Look to Jesus, for he is the answer. Grief isn't forever, for there is joy in the name of the Lord."

But don't quite understand it;
In either case GOD understands
That we are "imperfect human beings"
And knows that, no matter how much we try
To understand His Master Plan,
Losing a loved-one hurts!
As much as it hurts;
We have to be strong enough to carry on,
As our dearly departed would expect us to;
We need to have faith that we will someday
See each other again;
But only this time, it'll be for all Eternity,
Living in true peace without the hurt.
As much as it hurts;
Think about this:
One minute in Heaven
Is equal to 100 years on Earth;
For us, the next 10, 20, 50 or even 75 years,
Living without a loved-one hurts;
But for them, it'll be like you dropped them off at a restaurant
And parked the car.
They'll turn and spot you and say:
"OH! There you are!"
As much as it hurts;
Think about this:
As you pray for the faithful departed loved-one(s) of your life;
End your prayers and,
As you used to answer your Mom or Dad
As they called you to the dinner table,
Gently whisper: "Be with you in a MINUTE!"

If angels can speak great words from above
And fly with wings of God's given love
If chariots can ride over dark clouds
And instruments can sing praises out loud
If sparrows can stand on the housetop alone
Then God still comforts His own
May God reach down and love you in His own special way.
May you know you're loved, each and every day.
May you see, from God's dear eyes, the value of your worth.
May His love show you the most precious things on this earth

I think of you in silence
And no one sees me weep.
Because my silent tears are shed
While others are asleep.
God gave me the strength to face the sorrow,
The courage to bear the blow.
But what it meant to lose you,
Only He will ever know.
They say time helps us to forget
But time so far has only proved
How much I miss you yet.

Sometimes the greatest people on earth
Are the ones who are taken away.
The greatest smiles, the greatest hearts,
We beg and plead to stay.
But sometimes the unexpected will happen,
And sadly there's nothing to do.
Just sit idly by, and wait and cry,
And curse this nightmare come true.
Sometimes encouraging words are exchanged,
And most of the time we shed tears,
And we look on in awe of the greatest strength
Attempting to beat all our fears.
And when you last hugged your greatest hug,
You knew it might be your last.
But you threw out the thought and closed your eyes,
Because it "can't be happening this fast."
When you come to the end of this greatest fight,
You'll see this person who cared.
And you'll know he's forgiven you for all the bad times,
And loves you for all that you've shared.
It seems sometimes the greatest people on earth
Must endure the most difficult things.
That's because this world has been harsh enough...
And they look better in angel wings.

LIFE
I was often told it will get better as time goes on, and being this age that is not always the easiest thing to believe. So many things happen to so many good people but in reality it never hurts as much as it does to you.
In one's life they must experience, life, living, and dying, and then death. Usually for most this comes in over a long period of time, but myself I was born I have lived and I have experienced dying of people I hold dear to my heart and then the cold reality that they won't be coming back.
But in all the people that I have seen come and go with time they always leave me with something to remind me of them. Now this gift they give you, you don't always know you have received it until maybe many years later. It might be one word they said, a phrase, a speech of wisdom or maybe the simple fact they loved you.
So if you lose someone dear, no matter how old they are, or how old you are for that matter, always hold onto those memories of the ones you've lost because one day you to will be leaving someone with knowledge and wisdom of your own.

THE MASTER'S WAY
Not ours to know the reason why,
Unanswered is our prayer,
But ours to wait for God's own time
To lift the cross we bear;
Not ours to know the reason why
From loved ones we must part,
But ours to live in faith and hope,
Though bleeding to the heart;
Not ours to know the reason
Why this anguish, strife and pain
But ours to know a crown of thorns
Sweet graces for us gain,
A cross, a bleeding heart and crown -
What greater gifts are given?
Be still, my heart, and murmur not;
These are the Keys of Heaven.

LOVING MEMORIES
Your gentle face and patient smile
With sadness we recall
You had a kindly word for each
And died beloved by all.
The voice is mute and stills the heart,
That loved us well and true,
Ah, bitter was the trial to part
From one so good as you.
You are not forgotten loved one,
Nor will you ever be,
As long as life and memory last
We will remember thee.
We miss you now our hearts are sore,
As times go by we miss you more,
Your loving smile, your gentle face,
No one can fill your vacant place.

Does Jesus care when I said goodbye to the dearest on earth to me,
When my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks
Does He care enough to be there?
Yes He cares. I know he cares.
His heart is touched with my grief.
When the days are weary, the long nights dreary,
I know my Savior cares.

TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS:
Some things I'd like to say...
But first of all know that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from Heaven where I dwell with God above
Where there's no more tears or sadness there is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight,
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon, and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on Earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and said "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone
As for your friends and family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here so badly as part of "My Big Plan".
There's so much we have to do to help our mortal man.
Then God gave me a list of things He wished for me to do
And foremost on that list of mine is to watch and care for you.
And I will be beside you everyday and week and year,
And when you lie in bed at night, the days chores put to flight,
God and I are closer to you in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on Earth, and all those loving years
Because you're only human they are bound to bring you to tears,
But do not be afraid to cry, it does relieve the pain,
Remember there would be no flowers unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you of all that God has planned
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on Earth is over,
I am closer to you now than I ever was before.
And to my very many friends, trust God knows what's best.
I'm still not far away from you I'm just beyond the crest.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb,
But together we can do it taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy, and I'd like it for you too,
That as you give unto the World so the World will give to you.
If you can help somebody who is in sorrow or in pain,
Then you can say to God at night my day was not in vain,
And now I am contented that my life it was worthwhile
Knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is down and feeling low,
Just lend a hand to pick them up as on you way as you go.
When you are walking down the street and you've got me on you mind...
I'm walking in your footprints only half a step behind.
And when you feel the gentle breeze or the wind upon your face...
That's me giving you a great big hug or just a soft embrace.
And when it's time for you to go from that body to be free...
Remember you're not going, you are coming here to me.
And remember I will always love you
From that land way above.
We'll be in touch again soon.
P.S. God sends His love!

KISSES ABOVE
Kisses above to you my love
I blow them to you because that's all I can do
I miss you so both so much
It really is my biggest crutch
I really don't feel as if I have much grace
As I walk at an uneven pace
I hope you both know how much I care
because my heart feels so bare
Kisses above to you my love
You both taught me to do
So many things in memory of you
To list another crutch
I long to feel your touch
When I look at your face
I end up in a daze
I long to comb your hair
And for you to be so near
Kisses above to you my love
Some people just don't have a clue
What in life I had prepared for you
I love you both so much
HUGS I send to you a bunch
All around the world there lays
Many people for us who prays
So many that care
Because of the moments you were here
Kisses above to you my love

If tears could build a stairway,
And memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to Heaven,
And bring you home again.
No farewell words were spoken,
No time to say goodbye.
You were gone before I knew it,
And only God knows why.
My heart aches so in sadness,
And secret tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you,
No one will ever know.

When you are walking through a gorgeous and romantic meadow with the warm sun beating down on your back and the partner of your dreams walking by your side, arm in arm, what would you be thinking about? I would think of the hopes and dreams I have for the future, the plans I would have with this perfect partner, the love I have for the world and for life itself.
I wouldn't, however, be thinking of the small animals and creatures that I would be killing with every step, or the habitat that I would be ruining underfoot. So, when you ask why God could let the world suffer and take your loved one away, remember that he is walking through the meadow of creation, focusing on a picture bigger than we can comprehend.
December 10, 2008
God saw you were getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So He put His arms around you
And whispered, "Come With Me."
With tearful eyes we watched you suffer
And saw you fade away,
Although we love you dearly
We could not make you stay.
So when we saw you sleeping
So peaceful from your pain,
We could not wish you back
To suffer that way again.
A golden heart stopped beating
Your hard-working hands were at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.

A shining star from up above
Reminds us of those we've loved.
Here today, gone tomorrow
Lonesome hearts filled with sorrow.
The pain of missing you never fades
But I cherish the friendship that we've made.
Though we can't talk day by day
I remember you in every way.
The laughs, the smiles, held so dear
Memories of you bring me cheer.
Holding you close in my heart-
With you forever, we'll never part.

Your hands have left a memory
Of kindness, warmth, and safety.
Although I know they're gone now
Your hands will always be with me.
When a quiet tear streams down my face
I think of your soft hands' embrace.
When a day I'm down and blue
I will always think of you.
Holding me, hugging me, setting me free
Of all these emotions empowering me.
I know that you are always here
Whispering "I love you" in my ear.
I wish so much
You didn't go
But I guess you had to
For reasons I do not know.
I miss your hands, dad,
Wiping a tear.
I miss them always
Holding me near.
I can't wait til the day
I see them once more
But I know until then
My heart will be sore.
Now each of my days
I will live for you
Sometimes it'll be hard,
But I can pull through.
When I play the piano
Or do what you love
I know you'll be watching
And smiling above.

GRANDPA
There's a hole deep inside me,
And I don't know why it's there.
It could be because you left us,
It could be because you're not there.
You gave to us a light,
That shone above all the rest.
And that light died inside me,
The day we laid you to rest.
I need you more then ever,
I'm lost and can't be found.
I don't know who to confide in,
Now that you're not around.
You used to be my rock,
My soft place in which to fall.
Now that you have left us,
It seems I've lost it all.
If ever there was a person,
Who taught me to believe.
You were that very person,
Who told me not to grieve.
I remember once you told me,
That this day would have to come.
Never did I consider those words,
So tell me where do I run?
It seems that I should call you,
And tell you I'll be over soon.
To read you the new poem I've written,
And hear you brag and croon.
It's only now that I understand,
We can never be ripped apart.
Because Grandpa, no matter how far away you are,
You are with me in my heart.

Losing the ones you love
Without getting to say your good-byes
Having life slip away
Right before your eyes
Not being able to control
The way you feel or act
Wishing you could be little again
But knowing you can't go back
You've grown up now
Things will never be the same
It's time to move on with life
And deal with the pain
Because it's useless
To dwell on things like the past
People will come and go
But the memories will always last
So remember the good times
And all the fun you had
Though it may be hard
Life can go on, even without a dad.

Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you planned
Only remember me;
You understand it will be late to counsel then or pray
Yet if you should forget me for a while and afterwards remember,
Do not grieve
For if the darkness and corruption
Leave a vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.

I am home in heaven dear ones
Oh, so peaceful and so bright
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light
All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed
I am now at peace forever
Safely home in heaven at last
Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade
Oh but Jesus' love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade
And he came himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread
And with Jesus arm to lean on
Could I have one doubt or dread
Then you must not grieve so sorely
For I love you dearly still
Try to look beyond earth's shadows
Pray to trust our Father's will
There is work still waiting for you
So you must not idly stand
Do it now while life remaineth
You shall rest in Jesus' land
When the work is all completed
He will gently call you home
Oh the rapture of that meeting
Oh the joy to see you come
