JAMES ELDER Obituary
He is survived by his children, James B. Elder Jr. and wife, Cheryl of Ford, Robert Wayne Elder Sr. and wife, Jonan of DeWitt, and Michael Ray Elder Sr. and wife, Michelle of DeWitt; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, David and Clifford Elder of Florida, and John Elder of Dinwiddie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Smyrna Baptist Church, 11971 Carson Road, Dinwiddie, Virginia 23841 with the Reverend Robert L. Rowland III officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at church. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
