Petersburg - Mrs. Joan Ann Daniels Beasley was born September 12, 1961, in Prince George. She was employed at Colonial Heights Convalescent until her declining health. She was baptized at an early age becoming a member of Trinity Baptist Church, where she was a member of the youth choir. In her later years, she became a member of Union Grove Baptist Church where she attended as a faithful member until her health declined. Joan was preceded in death by her son, DeJuan Daniels; parents, James and Bertha Daniels; her mother, Glorine Washington; maternal grandparents, James and Mary Robinson; paternal grandparents, Benjamin and Mamie Daniels; three brothers, Eric Davis, John Mason and Edward Mason. Joan leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 24 years of marriage, Milton Beasley; one daughter, Kenya Daniels (Cory) of Dinwiddie, Kenisha Lewis (Rita) of Prince George; a son, Darrell Daniels, Sr. (Sharalda) of Richmond; five grandchildren that she cherished, Jaylen Daniels and Zania Chapman both of Petersburg, Ty'Yonne Lewis of Prince George, Londyn Daniels and Darrell Daniels, Jr. both of Richmond; god-daughters, Katisha "Kee Kee" Reese, Joe Ann Thorpe and "Glamson" Kymear Thorpe; brothers, James Daniels, Jr. (Trina) of Memphis, TN, Eugene Mason of Petersburg, and Richard Massenburg (Pauline) of North Carolina; aunts, Joan Mitchel of Petersburg, Mamie Delane of Hopewell, Catherine Daniels of Hopewell, Pearl Barber of Hopewell, and Mary Whitaker of North Carolina; mother-in-law, Shirley Beasley (Chester) of Petersburg; sister-in-law, Barbara Whitter of Petersburg; brothers-in-law, Cleveland Beasley (Valerie), Freddie Beasley (Gailia), Larry Beasley (Devel), and Leon Beasley (Toya) all of Petersburg; extended family, the Parham and Daniels families; best friend of 40 plus years, Cora "Tippy" Wyche (Darrin) of Kentucky; two very devoted friends, Valerie Walker and Devel Beasley of Petersburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friend too numerous to name. To know Joan was to love her. She was a person to give and lend hand when needed and she wanted everyone to be happy. Services will be held 3:00 P.M., Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the Chapel of J. M.
