JUDY SHELL Obituary
Born in Randolph County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late John Edward and Susie Rogers Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James W. Taylor. A longtime member of West End Baptist Church, Mrs. Shell was a devoted Christian woman, and a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Carl V. Shell Sr.; son, Carl V. Shell Jr. and wife, Terri; daughter, Susan Shell Eubank and husband, John, all of Dinwiddie; grandchildren, Ethan Eubank, Ashley Eubank, Nick Benitez and Rebecca Shell; her siblings, Joann T. Terry, Betty T. Pell, John "Eddie" Taylor Jr., Brenda T. Lowe and Jack A. Taylor Sr.; and a large extended family.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at West End Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Brendle officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West End Baptist Church, 8506 Boydton Plank, Petersburg, VA 23803, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
