LaCHEN M. BROWN

LaChen Monnette Brown of S. Chesterfield, Va., went home to be with the Lord on June 7, 2017. LaChen was born on December 30, 1972, in Englewood, NJ. LaChen lived in Englewood NJ, and attended True Vine Christian Center with Pastor Eric and Iris Butler. She served in the children's ministry.

She moved to Virginia in 2000. She worked at Southside Virginia Training Center and attended Living World Outreach Center. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and gifted to create beautiful things. She was a crafty person.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, Ruth and Herbert Merritt, Jr., Mirrian Brown; great grandparents, Alice and Herbert Merritt, Selena and Obegiah Duffy.

LaChen leaves to cherish her memories, her children, David, Danisha and Christian; her mother, Roberta Brown; father, Frank Brown, Jr.; grandchildren, Jamani, Christopher, III, David Jr., Peyton, Grayson, A'rya and Daniel and Dakota; a host of many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and devoted friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Living Word World Outreach Center, 1221 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834, with Pastor Robert Sawyer, officiating. Public viewing will be Friday, June 16, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Petersburg Chapel. Funeral services have been entrusted to the professional staff of the Petersburg Chapel of the Joseph M.
