Leslie Vaughan Obituary

Elder Leslie J. Vaughan, of 436 Bank St., Waverly, departed this life Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010, at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg.

Elder Vaughan may be viewed from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Peace-Bland Funeral Home, Waverly, and a wake service will be from 7 to 8 p.m. at the House of Prayer Apostolic Holliness Church, 216 Sussex Ave., Wakefield, located behaind the Virginia Diner.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at Rose of Sharon Apostolic Holliness Church, 438 Elm St., Waverly, with Bishop Tyrone Harper, pastor, officiating, and Suffragan Bishop Madison Copeland delivering the eulogy. The interment will be in First Baptist Church Cemetery, Waverly. The family may be reached at (804) 834-3758. Family and friends will assemble 12:15 p.m. at the residence on the day of service. Flowerbearers and pallbearers are asked to meet at the church.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the staff of Peace-Bland Funeral Home, Waverly, Mr. James I. Gay, funeral director.
