LOVDIE KERYNUS Obituary
She was the daughter of the late Ben and Ellen Opeum McDonald, and was also preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers. Lovdie married her husband, John, on Aug. 8, 1953. She served with her husband in the Armed Forces Baptist Missions for 40 years and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Prince George for over 20 years. She loved to write poems and made beautiful quilts, clothes and wedding dresses.
Mrs. Kreynus is survived by her husband, John L. Kreynus; two daughters, Victoria K. Flanary and husband, Mark, Lori K. Dzierzek and husband, Edward; one son, Laurence E. Kreynus; six grandchildren, Nichole, Tiffany, Dustin, Chandler, Maggie and Tess; five great-grandchildren; five sisters, Marjorie Adams, Faye Westfall, Jackie Bentzoni, Betty Jean Vaughan and Allene Harris.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Faith Baptist Church, 5501 Middle Road, Prince George, VA 23875. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 5, 2013, also at the church. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Congregational Cemetery in Prince George, Va. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church in memory of Lovdie Kreynus. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.

So sad to hear of the passing of such a sweet and wonderful person that I had the priviledge of getting to know. I remember Mrs and Mr Kreynus used to always eat at Ryan's steakhouse in Colonial Heights with us after church each sunday along with US Soldiers Mr Kreynus had picked up from Ft Lee to bring to church. She also used to make my favorite chicken I called it "greasy chicken". Mrs and Mr Kreynus served as missionaries to Ft Lee with Armed Forces Baptist Missions for well over 25 years. My deepest condolences and my thoughts and prayers are with the Kreynus family during this difficult time.
