PAUL "June" SHELL JR.

On Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, Paul "June" Shell Jr. peacefully entered into eternal rest at his residence in Stony Creek, Va.
He was born on March 12, 1941, in Stony Creek, Va., to the late Paul Shell Sr. and Marie Shell. He was preceded in death by his two siblings, Dorothy and Kermit Shell.
At an early age he confessed Christ and became a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church, McKenney, Va. In his teenage years he found a love for fast cars, loud music, and just enjoying life. He enjoyed his occupation of driving tractor-trailers until he was no longer able to drive.
Paul leaves to cherish an abundance of precious memories, his devoted wife Martha Shell, one daughter Jacqueline (Calvin), one granddaughter Jalisa, and his special joy Serenity, four sisters; Carlean Beasley (William) of Dinwiddie, Rosa Mabry (John) of Stony Creek, Alice Washington(Early) of Ford, and Jestine Taylor (Michael)of Georgia, four Brothers; William Shell(Nancy) of McKenney, George Shell (Gladys) of Carson, Gary Shell(Mary Rose) of Petersburg and James Shell(Edna) of Dinwiddie, one sister-in-law Geraldine Perry(James) of Detroit, Mich., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends, special thanks to At Home Care Hospice.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at Little Bethel Baptist Church, 23503 Flatfoot Rd., Stony Creek, Va., with the pastor Rev. David L. Banks, Sr. officiating and Rev. Roletta G. Banks, eulogizing. Burial will be in the Parham-Curley Cemetery.

The body may be viewed on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, from 12 noon to 8 p.m. at the funeral home in McKenney and at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
