Viewing for Mr. Whitfield will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 3, 2018, at the church and 2 hours prior to the funeral service at the church.
Family visitation/wake will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m, Friday, August 3, 2018, at the church.
The family and friends are asked to assemble 12:30 P.M. the day of the service at the church.

Whitfield, there is so much I can say but will keep it short. I have been knowing you since 1998 back from working Hanover days, which there is a sister/brother bond. Yes, my heart is hurting so bad in trying to digest all of this and it is really hard my friend. You are home at Peace now, and that's all that matters. You will be truly miss Lord knows you will be. To the family::: my deepest sympathy. Rufus was a classmate of mine. We had laughing times when he would DJ @ certain facility. I have not seen him since the late 80's cause I moved up North. DJ X is the only name I knew, as he worked so closely with many engagements/ministries that the Gospel Music Workshop of America, Richmond Chapter, attended and hosted. DJ X was always a saving grace, when I served on the Board and when we needed someone to handle our music needs. My prayers are with the Whitfield family and I know God will be right there to comfort them.
