Walter Massey Obituary
In 1951, he joined the U.S. Coast Guard and married his wife of 58 years. He worked in the private sector until he joined the United States Air Force, as a civilian employee in 1962.
Walter worked as an engineer for the U.S. Missile Defense System, the NASA Saturn V program at Mississippi Test Facility and finally the Defense General Supply Center in Richmond, Va., where he worked until his retirement in 1988.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; son, Christian Massey; and daughter, Leslie Ray. A silent memorial will be held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2010, at the Quality Inn of Chester, located at 12711 Old Stage Road, off of Route 10 East, Exits I-95 61 A or I-295 15B.
