William K. Abrahamian

William K. Abrahamian, "Abe," 59, of Dinwiddie, passed away Monday, March 29, 2010.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Trudy; his stepfather, John Bear "Pops;" and stepmother, Bobbie Abrahamian. He was the lead person in returns at the Supervalue Wholesale, for over 20 years. Mr. Abrahamian was a member of the NRA (National Rifle Association), a gunsmith and he enjoyed watching the NASCAR races, but was a huge fan of the Washington Redskins and enjoyed watching their games. He proudly served his country for six years in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Germany and Korea; also he served his country for 15 years while in the National Guard.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Karen Abrahamian; five daughters, Angela Pipia (Frank), Leslie McGuinn (Jeff), Christie Barron, Elizabeth Nolen (Murphy), Kimberly Abrahamian; 10 grandchildren, Murphy III, Desiree, Cassie, Mikey, Tony, Rachael, Harleyann, Michael, Abby, JJ; his father, Katchig Abrahamian; two brothers; Jon, Gary; six sisters, Tonette, Terri, Sandra, Patty, Christy, Theresa; a special nephew, Ricky Smith Jr.; and other friends and family.

The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Ave.. Hopewell, Va., where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2010, with a 1 p.m. committal service at Virginia Veterans Cemetery, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia, VA 23002.
