ALEXANDER PORRAZZO Obituary

PORRAZZO, ALEXANDER 'SAM', 94, of Providence, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2010 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Anna (Rossi) Porrazzo.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Francisco and Virginia (Paolucci) Porrazzo. He was employed by the Leesona Corporation as a polisher before retiring and was an Army Veteran of WWII.

He is survived by a son, Robert A. Porrazzo and his wife Linda of Florida; a sister, Annette Pennine; a grandson David Porrazzo and a great grandson, Brody Porrazzo. He was the brother of the late Joseph, Vincent, Pasquale and Louis Porrazzo.

Visitation Monday morning from 8:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 901 Atwells Ave., Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Condolences at Maceroni.com

So sorry to hear about "Uncle Sam." He had the Porrazzo outlook on life which I am sure led to his longevity, always smiling! He will be missed.
