Andre Boissonneault Obituary

BOISSONNEAULT, ANDRE, 83, of Portsmouth passed away on Friday October 24, 2008 at the Somerset Ridge Nursing Center in Somerset, MA.

He was the companion of the late Ida Levesque, and former husband of the late Pauline (Leveille) Boissonneault-Chace.

Andre was born in Fall River the son of the late George and Aurore (Lord) Boissonneault. Mr. Boissonneault served his country during the Korean War with the United States Army Air force. He then worked for the Newport Underwater Systems Center for many years retiring in 1988. He was a communicant of Saint Anthony Church in Portsmouth. Andre was involved with the Boy Scouts of America, East End Sportsmen Club in Fall River, Blessed Sacrament Men's Club, Notre Dame Golf league and the NUSC Bowling and Golf Leagues.

Survivors are a daughter Denise Rice of Fall River, MA; three sons Gerard Boissonneault of Westport, MA ; Gilbert Boissonneault of Lexington, KY; Paul Boissonneault of Dighton, MA; a sister Lucille Carvalho of Fall River, MA; a brother Joseph Leo Boissonneault of Fall River, MA; nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Rita Chace, George and Raymond Boissonneault.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10am in Saint Anthony Church, 2836 East Main Rd., Portsmouth. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Directly to the Church. Burial to follow with MILITARY HONORS in Newport Memorial Park Cemetery, Middletown.
