Armando Manni Obituary

MANNI, ARMANDO A., 90, of Arnold Ave., passed away peacefully on February 7, 2008 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the husband of the late Lucy (Lupo) Manni.

Born in Cranston, he was a son of the late Francesco and Tilde (Ronci) Manni. He had lived in Smithfield for fourteen years.

Armando was the owner and operator of Silver Lake Iron Works for forty years. He was a life member of the Highland Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed being with his family, fishing, gardening, and being outdoors. He was an Army veteran of WWII.

Armando was the loving father of Ronald F. Manni and his wife Paula of Smithfield and the late Robert Manni, and devoted grandfather of Todd Manni, Jill Austin, and Bryan Manni. He also was the loving brother of Mary Marcello of Cranston, Mafalda Doglione of Clovis, CA, Louise Tamagni of Salinas, CA, Angelina Renzi of West Palm Beach, FL, Frank Manni of Johnston, Fred Manni of Cranston, Natlie Brandt of Lawton, OK, and the late Elsie and Albert Manni.

His funeral will be held Monday at 9 am from the ROBBINS FUNERAL HOME, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Michael Church, Georgiaville. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours Sunday 3-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917 or St. Vincent de Paul Society, Diocesan Council, 50D Niantic Ave., Providence, RI 02907.

I'm sorry to learn about your Dad passing - He was a great friend of our family I trIED to call Him before we left to no avail - although we didnot get to see each other to oftn the last few years i will always remember the good times we had and evrything he did for all of us - god bless
