Clara Martinelli Obituary

MARTINELLI, CLARA (BALASCO), 83, of Douglas Manor, passed away Wednesday, August 27th at the Elmhurst Extended Care Facility.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Guiseppe and Carmela (Antignano) Balasco and had been the wife of the late John R. Martinelli, Sr.

Mrs. Martinelli had worked as a chef for the former Ballard's Restaurant. She was the mother of John R. Martinelli, Jr.; grandmother of Lauren Montalbano; sister of Anna Pelleccione, Jennie Russo and the late Margaret, Anthony, Armand, Allie, Joseph and William Belasco, and Vincenza Benjamin. Aunt of several nieces and nephews

Visitation and funeral will be held Saturday, 9:30-10:30 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Interment will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Please omit flowers.
