David Amaral Obituary

AMARAL, DAVID S. 72, of Cranston, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, March 5th, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Center. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Sylvester and Maria Amaral, and resided most of his life in East Providence. David was a US Army Veteran of Vietnam, and was employed as a salesman of jewelry findings before his retirement. He was charismatic and enjoyed life, and was loved by his many friends and family. He is survived by: his daughters Mrs. (Peter) Courtney SanGiovanni and their children Sophia and Luca, and Mrs. (Ben) Allison Nascenzi; his son Justin Silva; his sister Mrs. (Robert) Barbara Ferreira and their children Mr. Robert (Amy) Ferreira, Mrs. (Michael) Cheryl Ferreira, and Mrs. (Tucker) Mara Destino; and former wife Ms. Kathryn Amaral. His body will be cremated at the Rebello Funeral Home, 901 Broadway, East Providence. Dave's life will be celebrated with private services. David was a kind, sweet, caring man - one of the best! He loved to share stories about his kids and grandkids, and the fun times he spent with his sister's family and his friends. David, I am heartbroken to read that you have passed on. I will miss you. Maybe now you can be reunited with your life time friend Bob and pick up where you left off years ago. You were always a wonderful freind to Bob, and later to me. You were our best man at our wedding and Bob at yours...You parents and Bob's parents were best friends too with Aunt Phyllis. I am so sad as yet another friend will join Bob in heaven. God spend my friend.
