David Lombardi Obituary
He was the husband of Martha A. (Malynn) Lombardi. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Frederick S. and Evelyn A. (Young) Lombardi.
Dr. Lombardi was the owner of Lincoln Chiropractic and co-founder of Advantage Home Medical. Doc graduated from the National College of Chiropractic, Chicago, IL in 1979.
David was a member of the Chiropractic Society of RI -- President from 1997-1998, New England Chiropractic Council -- Secretary 1987-1990 and President 1990-1992, American Chiropractic Association, Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research, and the National Ski Patrol. He was also the team physician for the Providence College football team. Doc played softball for the Pariseault Builders. As a father, he coached for the Wickford Little League and the North Kingstown Youth Football Association.
He was the father of David A., Benjamin A. and Leah A. Lombardi and the brother of Thomas J. and Jon F. Lombardi.
His funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Ave., Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Bernard Church, 410 Tower Hill Rd., Wickford. Graveside burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, 6365 Post Rd., North Kingstown. I was shocked and saddened to hear what had happened. I remember Dave as one of the first chiro's I met when I started practicing. He was nice, fun and friendly. I am sorry for your loss.

Martha, I was devastated in hearing of the loss of David. I will always remember that loving fun family coming into the Tomorrow Fund Clinic at Hasbro Childrens Hospital when young David was being treated. You are a remarkably strong woman and the little I did get to know of you I'm sure you are still being that strong Mother for your children.Love and God Bless to you David, Ben and Leah.

There are no words to describe the unbelievable loss of such a wonderful husband, father, and for me boss that David, (Doc) was. I continue on and go to work everyday but it is not the same no one will ever fill his shoes the way he did.
I truly miss him but will never forget what a wonderful person he truly was.

I am so sorry for your loss and the loss of all who knew Dr. Lombardi. I was a patient of his for many years in Providence and in Lincoln. During my appointments, I would hear many tales of your family. It was apparent how much he loved all of you and what a great husband and dad he was. From the first time I met David, through our mutual friend Bob Rossi, I liked him from the start. His great personality and sense of humor was captivating. He asked me to split his PC Tickets one season and we joined each other for a game. I can't remember who won, but we had a great conversation that evening. What I remember most about David was his great appetite for life. It was always a pleasure to see him at family reunions and no surprise he was responsible for planning them. He certainly knew what was important in life and he will be sadly missed.

I didn't know Dr. Lombardi personally, I only met him once brefly in our office, but I talked to him frequently on the phone. I will always remember the kind, gentle voice, full of caring and sincere interest. I will miss him and our short talks.
