Edward Rundquist Obituary

RUNDQUIST, EDWARD G.
78 of Providence, RI passed away suddenly at home on November 15, 2016.
Born in New York in 1938, Edward graduated from Deerfield Academy in 1956 and Brown University, Class of 1960. While at Brown, he studied concurrently at RISD. Ed was passionate about his studies throughout his life. He pioneered studies relating to the nature of housing issues for Asian immigrants. He returned to Providence in recent years because Brown was home to him and gave him the adequate resources to pursue his final dreams. Mr. Rundquist was a US Army Veteran who served in France.
He leaves his closest family, his sister, Gale Rundquist Chen and her husband, Kendall Chen. He will be greatly missed by his cousins Gisela Sabertschnig and Judy Hesselman, and his longtime friend and companion Elaine Behr.
A private funeral service was held on November 18, 2016 and burial was in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence, RI with Military Honor Army Guard.

I knew Ed in a professional context for ten years. He was a fine and ethical person. The world lost a good one with his passing.
