CALORE, ELSIE M.
87, passed away May 1, 2017. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Ernest Calore. Born in Providence she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Rose (Cantone) Sardelli.
Mrs. Calore was Vice President of the former Calore/Cook Transportation Co., Inc. In Rhode Island, she was a member of the Wickford Art League, Warwick Art League and the East Greenwich Yacht Club. She was also a member of the Marco Island Art League and the Italian American Club, both in Marco Island, Florida
She graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA, where she studied piano and voice.
Besides her husband she is survived by three children; Linda M. Schweitzer, Marilyn A. Pezza and Raymond E. Calore and three grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Diane R. Calore and the sister of the late Angelica, Vincent, Edward and Ronald Sardelli.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday May 6th at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, Rhode Island Chapter.
