Dear Pat and family,
Please accept my deepest sympathy and love. I am so saddened by the news. I have read all the tributes to Frank am so touched by all that has been written. As a member of the Scappaticci family, our lives have been intertwined on many occasions, both happy and sad. From when I was a young girl, I remember Frank's kindness and gentleness. I also remember his love for his family, parents and for you Pat. Never was there a time that I was not greeted with a smile and kind words from him. He truly was someone I feel honored to have had the priviledge to know. Please know in this difficult time, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I met Frank only three or four times during my visits to Rhode Island over the past decade, but each time was struck by his warmth and outgoing personality. He was easy to talk to, a trait I've seen in his family.
Sixty-one years is so short a time for family and friends and, of course, especially for his adorable grandchildren, Peter and Marissa. I'm sure they will hear a lot about their grandpa as they grow - and thank God for pictures.
My deepest sympathy for all who were touched by this man and who miss him dearly.

November 16, 2008

Dear Mrs. Spaziano and family:

My heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead.

I had the pleasure of working with Frank at the PSD. A young man I will never forget.

Frank was a good man - the highest compliment we choose to pay to those whom we admire for devoting an entire lifetime to family and friends.

Not nearly as important an attribute - but one Frank had anyway - was that he also was one cool guy!

So those things in your respective memory books that make you cry today, will again bring smiles to your faces - when somewhere down the road you can give in to those memories without tears, allow them to wash over you, think about how lucky you were to have had Frank in your lives - and then smile the smile with which he would want you to remember him.

Godspeed Frank!

Lee Buehne

Dear Pat and Family:

My deepest sympathy to you and Frank's Mom and Dad on your great loss.

I first met Frank when we were volunteers at the "Tuesday Night Dances" at the John Fogarty Center on Atwells Avenue. I later met Frank at the Providence School Department where we worked together for 23 years. He was a great person and a good friend.

"He gave the gift of laughter
and dried his share of tears.
He left his mark on many lucky lives
throughout the years.
He spread a lot of love around.
He shed a world of light.
And in the memories he left,
his spirit stills shines bright."

Rather than mourn the absence of a flame, let us celebrate how brightly it glowed.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time.

Rest in Peace, Frank and
Thanks for the Memories

Mickey

Dearest Cousin Patty and children,

We are with you during this difficult time. May the Lord be your refuge. You and Uncle Frank have been a blessing to our family. It is a privilege to be part of yours. As you know, Uncle Frank was also my elementary principal at Laural Hill Ave. School. I can remember as a child, during a parent-teacher conference, when my mother, Teresa, asked me, "Who is that man?" As my mother and Uncle Frank smiled at each other, and neighbors stood with expectation, unaware of our relation, I responded, "That's Mr. Spaziano!" Uncle Frank and everyone roared in laughter. "You can call me Uncle Frank, son." From that moment on, he became, not only my educator, but a father figure, and later, a mentor. You and Uncle Frank have always expressed your love and concern for my well-being, and I hope to extend the same to you. My family and I are eternally indebted to you. If there is anything I can do, please let me know. I will deeply miss Uncle Frank's love, sense of humor, and guidance. -Your cousin, Anthony (Cirello) Francisco
