Gail Cain Obituary

CAIN, GAIL A. (BOYER) 63, of North Attleboro died on Tuesday at her residence. She was the loving wife and best friend of John T. Cain to whom she was married on June 6, 1970. Born in Worcester, MA on February 1, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Thomas N. and Alma I. (Dube) Boyer. Raised and educated in Worcester, she was a 1967 graduate of Burncoat High School. She later earned her associate's degree in business administration from the Community College of R.I. Mrs. Cain was a devoted and dedicated homemaker to her husband, children and grandchildren. Her proudest moments were those when celebrating the success of her family. Her life centered on her love for family and when not showering them with her affection she enjoyed reading; attending the theatre, especially the Providence Performing Arts Center and traveling throughout the world with her husband. In addition to her husband of almost 42 years, she leaves three children: Christina A. Irons of Warwick; Jennifer M. Preston and her husband, Michael S. Preston, of Cumberland and Erin E. Cain and her partner, Kevin McDonough, of Inverness, FL; four cherished grandchildren: Zachary J. Cain of Inverness, FL; Hayley E. and Sydney M. Preston both of Cumberland and Ashley A. Irons of Warwick; a sister: Joan A. Crowley and her husband, Thomas Crowley, of Pepperell and Sandwich; a brother: Jay Boyer and his wife, Linda (Chronchio) Boyer, of Worcester; a nephew: Adam Crowley of Boston; two nieces: Amanda Boyer and Kayla Boyer both of Worcester and several extended family members and dear friends. She was the aunt of the late Jason Crowley. Visitation on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, 3/4 mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Funeral Service on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home. Burial will be private. To the Cain and Boyer family,

Our cousin Gail was such a warm, wonderful, thoughtful person. I remember once a happen stance meeting in front of our house on the day we were bringing home our daughter Carly after she was born, 12 years ago. We shared some wonderful time together that day and its memories such as this we will hold.

Christina, Jen and Erin,

I am so very sorry for the sudden loss of your mom. I have wonderful, fond memories of her growing up and know what a special woman she was. Having lost my mom suddenly 2 years ago, I can understand the pain you must be feeling and I hurt for you all.

My mom used to go for walks in the mornings with your mom and they used to talk about 'their girls' and how proud they were of us. Keep those warm thoughts close as you go through this most difficult time. Be there for your dad, and each other.

My deepest sympathies,
Karen Church Andersen
