James Bucci Obituary
60, of Providence, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Michelle (Iannucci) Bucci. They were happily married for 25 years.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Frederick and Jeanette (Parrillo) Bucci.
Jimmy was the proprietor of Jeanette's Bakery a family-owned business on Branch Avenue, Providence for many years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Jessica Bucci and James Bucci, Jr. "Jimmy" and his wife Christina. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, John and Olivia.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 18th at 11am at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 529 Charles St., Providence. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Emmanuel Baptist Church, 529 Charles St. Providence, RI 02904. Arrangements entrusted to A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, Providence. marianiandson.com

What a wonderful man he was. He'd always take the time to come out of the back to say hello to his customers.

Jimmy you will be missed.
We met at your business, and your character and your product were genuine.
You was the Mayor of Branch Av.
Your constituency was broad and devoted.
Day after day you fed the community and day after day your popularity swelled.
Your products traveled well an were ambassadors of both you and the City of Providence.
Everyone marveled your delicious creations and would return for more.
I hoped that one day that you would have had locations around the state and throughout the land.
What could be better than to be in Miami, or Long Beach, than to have a Jeanette's Spinach Deluxe .
To your family I pray that they not loose your vision and your goal to keep your family together in a resourceful way that you continued to lay out.
May they find peace in your passing and the love of tradition of being your family.

Since I was a little girl I used to walk from my grandmothers house on Commodore St To the bakery to get my aunts some fresh blueberry pies at Jeanette's . As the decades went by the bakery which had always been known for its delicious spinach pies blossomed into a haven of various calzones, pizza's
And Italian specialty platters.I moved to the Boston area to teach Italian for 35 years and every weekend will drive back to Providence just for those delicious spinach pies to bring back to Massachusetts where they didn't exist. Michelle always had them ready for me when I came and in the hustle and bustle of what was now the haven of not just truck stoppers but all those who knew the best Of Italian food there was Jimmy and his family always smiling and happy and making you feel welcome. I pray that Michelle and her family will find the courage and strength to continue the wonderful work that Jimmy's family had started decades ago. I send my love and strength and I am now retired and have moved back to .Rhode Island so I can be close to my favorite place.

I am so sorry to hear this. He was such a genuinely nice guy. Always greeting his customers, even when he was in the back room prepping. Warm and friendly, he made me feel like I was part of his family.

Jimmy was a proud family man and also a proud business man. Jimmy always had a smile on his face when he greeted anyone and would asked how is everything was with a sincere tone.
