James Hurst

HURST, JAMES P. JR. 79, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2014 in Trinity Health Center, Woonsocket. He was the Husband of Anna A. (Kaczynski) Hurst, whom he married Nov. 24, 1955. They lived most of their lives in Pascoag before moving to Chepachet. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late James P. and Marie E. (Crepeau) Hurst. Jim owned and operated the former Hurst Radio & Furniture, Pascoag. He also worked in several other Sales positions before fully retiring. He was a lifetime 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus Pascoag Council 383. He also was past President of Burrillville Chamber of Commerce, and past President of The Burrillville Lions Club, and Fire Commissioner for Pascoag Fire District. He was a lifelong communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Pascoag. Besides his wife he is survived by four sons, Michael J. Hurst and his wife Ute of Brachttal, Germany, James P. Hurst II and his wife Corinne of Springfield, VA, Thomas C, Hurst and his wife Maribeth of Pascoag, Joel A. Hurst and his wife Brenda of Charlestown, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His funeral will be held Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014 at 8:30AM from the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave., Pascoag, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30AM in St. Joseph's Church, 183 Sayles Ave., Pascoag. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's cemetery, Main St., Burrillville. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7PM.
