I am so sorry for this great loss. May you find strength in each other and in your memories. He will always be with you. I know how difficult it is to lose your dad at such a young age, as did I and my siblings. Take care of each other, and Jett, your "family" here at Pilgrim HS is here for you too.

I am so sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I, like many others, had the pleasure of playing for Rison's Raiders. We all know it was much more peaceful to play on his team than against him!! As others have posted before me, he was one of a kind, and Warwick softball will never be quite like it was with him on the field. It will miss his passion, big heart and presence on the field and in the parking lots and restaurants after the games. As funny as it may sound, if Warwick softball ever starts a Hall of Fame, he would be the first inductee with a unanimous vote! RIP Jimmy..

To Jim's Friend's and Family, so sorry for your loss. I first met Jim when we were just teenagers hanging out on Amory Drive. Then later in life our paths crossed again in the RI softball community. Softball will never be the same. Sure he would argue or get thrown out of a game or two, but his passion and love for the game will always be remembered. No matter the out come of the game he would always go out of his way to invite you to his after game tail gate parties for a burger and a beer. Remembering all of the glory days of softball. I hope there is softball in heaven, because I can't imagine it without the leader of Rison's Raider's.

To Jim's Family and Friends. So sorry for your loss. Our friendship goes way back to Amory Drive as teenagers just hanging out. I also played softball many many years with Jim. Softball will never be the same, you will never see another Player or a Coach with the passion and determination of Jimmy. He always gave it his all, yes he would argue or make me throw him out of a game or two but he always respected his opponents, umpires and team mates. He would shake your hand after the game and always welcoming you to his after game tail gate for a burger and a beer. He loved to talk about all the glory days gone past in his softball life. He loved the game and he loved and lived life to its fullest. Jim you will be sadly missed, I sure hope there is softball in Heaven, you were the best my friend!

To the extended family (which includes his softball family- which I am a member) Jimmy Rison will be saddly missed! He was a true character of the game- a hard nose competitor and a friend who would give you the shirt off his back. It wasn't always easy with Jimmy, but in the end he was always a loyal friend and it is a sad day for all of us who knew him- God bless.
