James Stevens Obituary

STEVENS, JAMES A., 50, of Park Avenue, Cranston, died on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at home.

Born in Providence, a son of Esther M. (Lang) Stevens of Cranston and Anthony N. Stevens of Deerfield, FL, he lived in Cranston for 25 years. He was an avid bowler and Patriots fan.

Besides his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Melissa Y. Stevens and Michelle C. Stevens, both of Warwick; a son, James A. Stevens, Jr. of Monmouth, ME; a sister, Florence J. Moore of Boca Raton, FL; a brother, Peter A. Stevens of Warwick; two grandchildren, nieces, a nephew, and a grandnephew. He was the brother of the late Nicholas A. Stevens.

His funeral service will be held Saturday, November 18, at 10 a.m. from the Peter J. Barrett Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Ave., Spring Green, Warwick. Visiting hours are Friday 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

Bye Uncle Jim. This won't be here much longer. I miss you busting my chops everyday, our long talks and our driving adventures we used to take. Watch over Nicholas, he misses you terribly.
