Joan Manzo Obituary

MANZO, JOAN H. (DEL PADRE), 71, of Alder Rd. in Wakefield, died Wednesday in South County Hospital. She was the wife of the late Anthony R. Manzo.

Born in Cranston, the daughter of the late Michael J. and Cecelia M. (Opperman) Del Padre. Joan has lived in the South Kingstown area since 1962, coming from Cranston. Joan had worked for the State of R.I. school lunch department for over 30 years. She was an avid dancer who loved gardening and playing bingo.

Mrs. Manzo is survived by one son Anthony R. and Jennifer Manzo Jr. of Wakefield, one daughter Linda J. and Yogi Kenyon of Wakefield, one sister Cecelia M. Falcone of Cranston and three grandchildren: Joni, Rose and Laura Kenyon.

Visiting hours will be held in the Forbes Funeral Home, 28 Columbia St., Wakefield on Friday Aug. 4, from 5-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday Aug. 9, at 10:00am, in St. Francis Church, 114 High St., Wakefield. Burial in R.I. Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Guiding Eyes for the Blind, 361 Rt. 164, Patterson, NY 12563, ATTN: K-9 Development Center.

So very sorry to hear about your mom. I remember fondly all the

wonderful times vsiting our Rhode Island cousins. I will also always

to grateful that your mom made the trip down to NJ for my mom's funeral

in 2004. She was a fun lady and will be missed by everyone.
