On the occasion of the one-year anniversary of Uncle Joe's passing, I've requested additional trees to be planted in Israel. May this serve as a living tribute to his memory. To that end, I am reminded of a famous quote by the Roman statesman, Cicero, "The life of the dead is placed on the memories of the living. The love you gave in life keeps people alive beyond their time. Anyone who was given love will always live on in another's heart."
With love, David M. Battista, MD

To Paul, Mark, Tracey and your families,
I was so sorry to hear about your loss. Uncle Joe had many qualities I admire: he was kind, gentle and a principled man, which are all in short supply these days. He will be missed. I will keep him, and your families, in my thoughts and prayers.
With sympathy,
David Battista, M.D.
