Joseph Cetrone Obituary
Born in Providence, a son of the late Joseph and Elvira (Vendetti) Cetrone, he had been a resident of Warwick for 32 years. Mr. Cetrone was a musician for many years. He played accordion and various keyboard instruments with the Contours Trio. After retiring from music, he drove a taxi part time in Providence for Corporate Taxi. For recreation, he enjoyed the track, going out to dinner with family and friends and tending to his yard.
He was the father of Joseph M. Cetrone and Sheila R. Cetrone, both of Warwick. Brother of Dorothy Cetrone, Gelsomina Cetrone, both of Providence and the late Evelyn Cetrone. Grandfather of Alysha, Joseph and Briana Cetrone.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Friday 5-8 p.m.

Joe, although I never really had the chance to know you , I feel that the times we did know each other were special. We had some nice conversations together and I will definitely miss that. Like I told you, I am going to do my best to make your son happy and to be there for Gloria, Shelia, Alysha, Jo-Jo, and Briana as well. I know that you are with Jesus now and at peace. It has been great having you as a father. I know that you will be missed by many, many people. But! Sadness is for the people who are left behind. As for the one's who have passed on to the after life, the journey has only begun. Right now, for believers in Christ who have passed on, you were carried off by the angels, and are resting in the presence of Jesus Christ and the many saints who have entered the gates of Heaven.

As your neighbor I enjoyed our conversations, as your friend I admired your strength and perserverance. I will deeply miss your funny demeanor, especially that hot Summer day you played your accordion in the neighborhood and every child danced in the street. Every neighbor stopped what they were doing to watch you play. So, although I am saddened by your sudden departure, my heart rests in knowing that you are at peace and performing for the Angels in Heaven in your home with God our Father. Amen.
