I have such wonderful memories of working with Joe during tree emergencies and storms while the Lewis crews were assigned to Newton.

I honestly never had to worry when I knew Joe was on the job. He was great fun to be with and also to watch him do his job was an honor. I will miss his story telling ability and his big, warm smile. My thoughts and prayers are for his family. Carol Stapleton, City of Newton, Parks & Recreation.

Stephanie and Daughters,

I will always remember Joe as a wonderful, funny guy that I first met through Marilee and Ron many years ago. I then had the pleasure of getting to know his baby girl Korey. I wish Joe much peace in his journey home and all of you the peace of mind to know that he is safe. He has left you all in good hands with each other and those around you who love you. It is hard to lose the "best" but your memories will carry you.

Sincerely,

Shannon

Hi Dad,

There is so much that I want to say, and I want you to know. You were the best father in the world. Everyone respected and adored you. You were always smiling and in a good mood. Sometime I think my friends wanted to comeover to hang in the back yard and drink beers with you. There is nothing more I want but to have you back. You were my best friend, all the ride we used to take together, when I would come home from work and we would hang out near your truck and talk about our days. Your spirits were always up, and you famous expression "dont worry about me". I want you to know I will take care of mom and do my best so she never feels alone. I love you and I know some day we will meet again, I hope you are watching over me and smiling.

Dad I will love you forever and you will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

I miss you
