Josephine R. (Taraska) Psybyski, of Cumberland, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the Morgan Health Care Center, Johnston. She was the adoring wife of her husband of 66 years, the late Henry P. Psybyski Sr. Henry and Josephine were a great example of everlasting love, as they would still go out on dates every Saturday up until the very day Henry passed in 2014.
Born in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (Stegnicki) Taraska. She and her husband formerly resided and raised her family on Tingley Drive in Cumberland.
She was employed as an Office Manager for the former Cisco Oil and Olean & Payne Oil Companies of Cumberland, for many years until her retirement.
Josephine enjoyed traveling and "DATING" with her husband. She played bridge with many of her friends and was also involved in many bridge clubs. She never complained and always tried to look at the positive side of things. But most of all her faith, family and friends came first. Josephine was an avid Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins fan and she never missed a game.
She is survived by her daughter Christine Doderer and her husband Skip of Cumberland. Her four grandchildren, Betsy Bauler, Dr. Erin Liuzzo, Sarah LaVaque and Ryan Dornan. Eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother-in-law of Mary Psybyski of Cheshire, CT. She was also the mother of the late Henry P. Psybyski Jr., great-grandmother of the late Enzo Liuzzo and sister of the late Edna Kelly, Helen Jaquello and Eugenia Lenkewicz.
Josephine's Life Celebration will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Mary Church, 14 Park Street, North Attleboro, MA. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 S. Danny Thomas Blvd., Memphis, TN 38105.
