Kenneth Cartwright Obituary

CARTWRIGHT, KENNETH F., 78, of Welden Street, Pawtucket, died on October 23rd, 2013. He was born in Central Falls, the son of the late Elmer and Margaret (Broderick) Cartwright. He was the loving husband of Brenda M. (Johnston) Cartwright for 53 years. After serving his country in the US Army, he served his community as a US Postal Worker for many years before retiring. Ken was a past president of the National Association of Letter Carriers, Branch 55, AFL-CIO, a member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Organization, Pawtucket Chapter 13 and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Cumberland Chapter. He was a devoted and avid Pawtucket Red Sox fan for many years. Besides his wife, Kenneth leaves his son, Kenneth F. Cartwright Jr. and his wife Kristen of Seekonk, MA, his daughter, Sandra Santa Cruz and her husband Alfredo of Warwick, his grandchildren Kayla Cartwright, Jillian Cartwright, Kayla McDermott, Korryn Cartwright, Isaiah Santa Cruz and Noah Santa Cruz, and a brother Timothy P. Cartwright of Lincoln, He is predeceased by his daughter, Lori Ann Cartwright, a brother Elmer Cartwright and a sister Margaret Ryan. Mr. Cartwright's funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00am from the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa's Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket at 10:00 am. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours are Friday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the funeral home. For directions and guest book signatures, please visit manningheffern.com.
