Leona Moore Obituary

MOORE, LEONA (FISHER), 80, formerly of Shepherd Drive, Wakefield, died Sunday at Sunny View Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Donald W. Moore whom she married on July 9, 1949.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Robert A. and Rose G. (Mulvey) Fisher.

Mrs. Moore was a Bookkeeper for R.I. Hospital Trust National Bank until her retirement in 1988. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, and reading.

Devoted to her family, she was the beloved mother of Carol L. MacNaught of Warwick, Donald W. Moore, Jr. of Franklin, NH, and Steven A. Moore of Enfield, CT. Loving sister of Mary R. Fisher of South Kingstown and the late Earl R. Fisher. Cherished grandmother of seven and great grandmother of four.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday 5-8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers.
