Louis Manfredo Obituary
83, passed away October 13, 2018.
He was the beloved husband of Marie (Martellini) Manfredo for 61 years; loving father of Peter Manfredo, Paul Manfredo (Karen), Louis Manfredo (Carolyn), Michael Manfredo (Bobbie), Stephen Manfredo (Donna), and Maria Macaruso (Nick); cherished grandfather of 24 and 12 great-grandchildren; and brother of Ann Nason (George).
Louis was a lifelong resident of Federal Hill and a mutual clerk at the former Lincoln Greyhound Park for 40 years. He was a backhoe operator for St. Ann Cemetery, a member of the Laborers' Union Local 271 and had served in the U.S. Army. He was also an avid New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, 4-7 p.m. with funeral services Thursday at 8:45 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, 1 Knight Street, Providence, followed by burial with Military Honors in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Please omit flowers.

To Marie and family I am so sorry to hear the loss of a nice family man. Every time I saw you both after I left the family you were all very gracious to me. He was a great man and he will be missed by everyone that knew him. Please accept my deepest condolences and I will keep Louis in my prayers. Please tell Ann that I send her my sympathy as well. Peter, Stephen, Jr. Tina and the entire Manfrdo Family my deepest condolences to you all. A father/grandfather symbolizes strength, security, power and trust. He is admired and adorned by his family who looks to him to be guided and directed. The sound of his voice will now be still. There is physical person to hold. In your heart you hold your memories. These memories are the one thing that will never fade. When someone you love passes, be inspired by their passing and their legacy. Be inspired to live a happy and peaceful life like they did. Laugh as he had laughed, love as he had loved and live as he had lived. Remember his smile is the light that will continue to guide you. My prayers are with you all.
